Re: Moog Model 15 modular/Club Of The Knobs vs. Synthesizers

@elhardt, very, very nice. I like the ergonomic touch you made to the case. @kevin lightner, really interesting. thanks for that comment. I do bet that their modules are made better now though and sound better, too. the demos/videos around sound absolutely beautiful and they look absolutely beautifu...

Re: Moog Model 15 modular/Club Of The Knobs vs. Synthesizers

I think this looks perfectly fine: http://www.synthesizers.com/rack24.html So I don't really know what you mean. By the way, if .COM offered that case I'd probably do that, again that's just my taste, doesn't mean I don't care about the sound, but they don't offer it and I myself don't have the reso...

Re: Moog Model 15 modular/Club Of The Knobs vs. Synthesizers

Also, I'm interested in a Moog format portable modular but I'd be interested in a portable system that would hold at least 3 rows of modules, and the Synthesizers.com Portable-22 system holds 2 rows of modules only and they do not have a case that would hold 3 rows of modules. What difference does ...

Re: Moog Model 15 modular/Club Of The Knobs vs. Synthesizers

@wavezero, that would be very interesting. my honest guess is that they already have the idea up their sleeves and I predict that they're going to probably come out with new moog modules in more than just 1 format! I mean, it just makes sense. If they did come out with new modules, why wouldn't a co...

Re: Moog Model 15 modular/Club Of The Knobs vs. Synthesizers

Eric, Did you see this yet?? http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/products/minibrute/intro.html I told myself only one more piece of gear (except for the modular I'm saving for) and that was the Minitaur, but now I kind of want 2 more pieces! hahah. Except for the cheesy commercial promo vids, this t...

Re: Moog Model 15 modular/Club Of The Knobs vs. Synthesizers

Thanks Erick! You're always helpful! I understand what you mean about mixing and matching modules and I know that most people are into doing it that way, which is why the majority of people lean towards euro-rack format, it seems. But I've kind of always been interested in a "one-type" sys...

Moog Model 15 modular/Club Of The Knobs vs. Synthesizers.com

I'm saving up to buy a modular synthesizer this year. I know that euro-rack format is popular, and I've thought about buying a Doepfer system because its more affordable, but I can't shake the urge or interest in a Moog format modular synthesizer. Club Of The Knobs makes a Moog Model 15 modular clon...

Re: 2 MF-101 Low Pass Filters for MF "modular" = illogical o

@erick, thanks again. I agree with you. everything you have mentioned since the first reply you posted all makes sense and you broke down some really specific and interesting ways of how one would be able to use 2 MF-101's in their setup, those ideas sound great, and you're right, its all subjective...

Re: 2 MF-101 Low Pass Filters for MF "modular" = illogical o

@sirnose, thanks. but the murf is another one of "those" moogerfoogers that have too much of a "signature" sound in my opinion, in the way that using it you can always tell what it is when it is on, just like the phaser. for example i have a friend that has recorded a lot of ambi...

Re: 2 MF-101 Low Pass Filters for MF "modular" = unvaluable

@erick, thank you. by the way, the reason I am not very interested in the 12-stage phaser is because although of course it is a cool moogerfooger, I personally am not a huge fan of that effect, it is a very "dramatic" effect that effects the sound very drastically to where most of the time...

2 MF-101 Low Pass Filters for MF "modular" = illogical or?

Hi. I'm thinking of building up a Moogerfooger "modular", consisting of the following modules: 1 x MF-101 LPF 1 x MF-102 RM 1 x MF-104Z AD 2 x MF-107 Freqbox 1 x CP-251 CP and I wanted to add one more MF to make it 7 "modules" total, and I was wondering if a 2nd MF-101 Low Pass F...

Re: LP II CV/GATE IN/OUT + CP-251 potential harmful patches?

@dualaud Thank you so much. That really breaks it down a lot more. That's exactly what I needed, a basic/simple breakdown. So 1 input jack for the mult and the other 3 jacks act as outputs. Really, that really helped. I appreciate it. It is much clearer now. You broke it down simply and logically! T...

Re: LP II CV/GATE IN/OUT + CP-251 potential harmful patches?

@emwhite thank you for that. but I don't understand still. why does the cp-251 have more than 1 mult jack then? do u know what I mean? does that make any sense? I might just not be understanding exactly what the mult jacks do or are used for exactly. sorry if I sound like an amateur. the mults are u...

LP II CV/GATE IN/OUT + CP-251 potential harmful patches?

Hi. I purchased a Moogerfooger CP-251 Control Processor a while back because I wanted to experiment/take advantage of the CV/GATE IN/OUT on my Little Phatty Stage II. I was wondering if any of you could tell me if any patches using the Little Phatty Stage II CV/GATE IN/OUT with the CP-251 Control Pr...

MF-102 or MF-108m with LP Stage II CV/GATE IN/OUT + CP-251?

MF-102 Ring Mod or MF-108m Cluster Flux with my Little Phatty Stage II CV/GATE IN/OUT + CP-251 Control Processor? I'm looking to add another moogerfooger to my Little Phatty Stage II with CV/GATE IN/OUT and CP-251 Control Processor set-up. I would love to be able to afford both moogerfoogers, but I ...
