Re: Bands that Use Moog
I do not know the name of the performer either, I just know that the portamento patch was originally played by Peter Wood.Filipe wrote:I could not find the name of the keyboard player, but in Cyndi Lauper's band All through the night (Live in Paris, 1987) there is a memorable

Re: Bands that Use Moog
I think alot of the more modern bands, I see more Phatties than Voyagers. Perhaps thy don't want to carry their Precious Voyagers and break out in a cold sweat after finding the roadie slipped  ...also: Moderat Ellen Allien Apparat Cascada and also an old german ELP clone called 'Triumvirat' ...

Re: Question about Voltages from my sequencer
[ A quick look at the MF101, 102 and 103 boards show they each have a 7662 charge pump located near the power rails. Thus the safe range for input CV is likely to be -9 to +9 V; this would also be necessary for OAs requiring a bipolar supply. I couldn't say for certain without looking closer at the...

Re: Question about Voltages from my sequencer
Hi, Kevin I read your post carefully and I found little, if any, content directly related with my remark. Perhaps I did not explain my example correctly. MF-101 has a 9V supply voltage. Once you connect a jack to its CV input with a -5V signal, you are outside 101's power supply range by 56%. Sure t...

Re: Question about Voltages from my sequencer
Eric, I bet Moog stuff is well protected, but I still would check everytime, use a voltmeter and keep everything documented and handy. Perhaps you could incorporate a voltmeter in your rack. Whenever you go negative with, say your 101, you will be stressing which material is there to protect. It may...

Re: Underneath the tree
This is so cool! :D I got that dvd. I seems K.E. did't have the time to put the settings right and play the chords of Promenade at the same time, so the first two notes of the Modular are sort of metal, too much volume and clearly out of tune. One or two twists put them in place (what would those be...

Underneath the tree
Merry Christmas everybody!
Anyone have a present? Last minute, too late to place underneath the tree, open immediately?
I was hoping for a 'rob progs out' type share .

Re: cp-251/vx-351 rackmount kit: power
By trying to 'daisy-chain' the power from the Voyager to both modules will undoubtably cause a ground loop thus generating all sorts of problems. Hi, no ground loop here with the very same configuration. But the rack I use for both modules does not contain anything else connected to the Voyager (fo...
