Re: Moog/Realistic MG-1 Mod Guide

... For the MG-1 LFO you must feed in the voltage at the connection between R142 (9.1K) and the MOD RATE slider R141 via a 1K resistor, I assume, but I will check it with LTSpice and communicate the result here. I was wrong. The MG-1 - LFO is current driven, not voltage driven like other LFOs (like...

Re: Moog/Realistic MG-1 Mod Guide

analogmonster - Replacing U12 with a new chip worked! The peak emphasis is now working again! Thanks for your feedback. That's cool 8) So you repaired an original Moog synth, which I consider as great success, as these analog veterans deserve to be kept and "cherished". One thing I have o...

Re: Moog/Realistic MG-1 Mod Guide

Analogmaster- Thanks for your compliment  but I am just a _monster_ not a _master_  Thanks for getting back to me. I had no idea about the risks of using a multi meter on the synth. I’ve got a scope I can use from here on out. Ur appraisal of shorting U12 while using the multimeter m...

You can hear it. And you can measure it with a scope at pin 6 of U11.

Re: Moog/Realistic MG-1 Mod Guide

...and I proceeded to step 5: adjust emphasis trim at pin6 of IC U1012, when I had my multi-meter to check the pins and adjust emphasis trim pot, at some point the oscillation I heard disappeared, and no matter what the trim pots are for emphasis, or filter scale, or filter cutoff, I can no longer ...

Re: Filter sweeps.

... I knew the 907 reduces the audio level and I've never been happy with this. I almost wondered if to incorporate the input and output buffers of the 914 but I don't know if this is worth the effort . But I use the Noise module with LOW and HIGH pass filters and the high pass seems to actually in...

Re: Filter sweeps.

Hello...not sure how to add an audio sample here.... If you find a YouTube video with a good example you can drop the YouTube - link here together with a rough timing information where the relevant part begins. ... I've tried incorporating the Fixed Filter bank in the signal and that does help a gr...

Rudi Linhard?
Yes, that's true. A friend confirmed that yesterday to me.

Thanks

Re: Custom Moog Guitar Amp

According to the owners manual of the sub phatty the ins and outs on the back side are on line level. Which is just standard. A guitar output signal is just 10 to 60 percent of a line level, afaik. So a guitar amp should amplify more than the factors of line level. Perhaps this is the point the warn...

Re: Multimoog Ground Loop Tuning Issue

Yes, that is true. But perhaps the ground RAIL is polluted. This can happen if you have a poor or highly impedanced ground connection in conjunction with a Moog synthesizer. The S-TRIGGER of Moog Synths can cause this for instance, as the the shortening of an envelope gate connector (S-TRIG) to grou...

<LowPriorityComment> I wonder if any brand offers modulation devices (pedals, modwheels) with selectable characteristics. If there is just a linear pot mounted, the characteristic is for linear functional control (or you have an expressive control over your foot  ), where logarithm...
