Re: Just having fun

I also prefer hardware synths even if it involves an actual special-purpose computer such as romplers. Analog synths are also dedicated analog computers. I once considered using laptops live but too many unexpected glitches tend to occur, specially if you are actually playing. The 'real thing' in fa...

Re: Just having fun

I tend to concur: keeping the OBXA would have been an interesting idea. Cannot have them all, can we? Chips may live for 80 years or more, but a not all electronic / mechanical components have that life span. So, in the end the OBX8 was the smartest option... You have played some memorable beasts!
The Chrome in particular always fascinated me but I never put my hands on one.
And you are very well equipped now.
You're right: some digital are very interesting. Still,

Time flies; I did not spend enough time with it to give you a concrete opinion. There are some enhancements and more space for presets, but do you need it? Because the update neve...

IMG_2473.jpeg IMG_2472.jpeg I believe those patchs that mention Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer have a sync sound to them . Jan Hammer many years ago had his minimoog modified so he could wear it around his neck. I have a Roland AX1 keytar. I’ve midied it to my voyager , the Roland AX1 being the master an...

Re: Just having fun

Like your utube demo. I saw a caption that said JAN Hammer. I remember the Jeff Beck album there and back. I also remember Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer trading solos on wired. It’s amazing what a little bit if delay can do for the Minimoog voyager. There are some preset patch’s on the voyager that ment...

lucky nerd wrote:(...) I will say it's a sad state of affairs when brilliant men are driven to die alone by their own hands because their bodies betray them and leave them unable to do what they enjoy the most in life. :(

Re: Keith Emerson Tribute at El-Rey in LA

(...) But I think Marc Bonilla pulled the talent together and organized the music from the pool of his and Keith's friends, so understandable why Greg and Carl had no involvement. (...) Or perhaps Keith Emerson's girlfriend was a bit offended by like Greg Lake's remarks: http://www.express.co.uk/ne...

Re: Keith Emerson Tribute at El-Rey in LA

There is something odd about at least Greg's absence. (Greg Lake, I mean).
