Re: new slim phatty with Bass guitar?
Whoops; I'm an idiot. I somehow neglected to take special note of the "Slim" part of this discussion. The functionality I described is how the Little Phatty operates, and since they're alike in nearly every regard I assumed -- incorrectly -- the Slim worked the same way. Sorry for the conf...

Re: new slim phatty with Bass guitar?
I know this is an old post, but have been thinking about this myself. No worries on the old post thing. A lot of people on every internet forum seem to get upset when ancient threads are bumped, but that's what the search function is for. I'd never have seen this otherwise. If the latency issue is ...

Re: Animoog iPhone / ipad
The iPad is capable of running any iPhone/iPod touch apps, but it does so in a sort of compatibility mode where the usable screen size is limited to the size of an iPhone/iPod touch with the ability to expand it to 2x the size -- with a considerable amount of pixelation in the process. I own both ve...

Re: Animoog crash on launch
Well, since I have a proper jailbreak running untethered I have been a bit hesitant to upgrade to OS 4.2 or higher. I know I'm missing out on Core MIDI and other cool stuff, but the real point of this is that I'm running all my current apps (around 300) just fine and the Animoog specs clearly say O...

Re: Animoog crash on launch
This may not be the answer you'd like to hear as it doesn't really address the issue, but as Newstech ponders, do you have a practical reason for remaining on iOS 3.2? That's the version that was released with the introduction of the original iPad nineteen months ago in April 2010, meaning you haven...

Re: warm up?
Does no one use the Auto tuning mode? It's an absolute dream. I have an LP Stage and have used it in hot, cold, humid, arid, and have never had a problem with tuning. The only minor issue is the slight delay on first note press after the fifteen seconds of idle (or whatever it is) when it goes into ...

Re: Animoog and Little Phatty
Awesome! Are you having any issues with the setup? Some folks have mentioned having issues with Animoog interpreting a MIDI Note Off as a Note On (thread here).scdreger wrote:It's pretty fun, I got an Alesis IO today and tried this out. They sound great together!

Re: Animoog and Little Phatty
Note priority is available as a global setting as well as a per-preset setting. The default setting for KEYBD PRIORITY in the MASTER MODE main menu is LAST NOTE and each preset's default setting is GLOBAL, which means every preset inherits the LAST NOTE setting from the MASTER MODE setting; this way...

Re: Animoog and Little Phatty
It seems there are two things going on in the LP + Animoog demo. I don't have first-hand knowledge of the exact setup featured in Marc Doty's demo video, but I can wager a guess based on what I can see. First, you have just plain ol' LP 1/4" analog audio out. It appears the LP is set to low-not...

Which operating system are you trying to open the Phatty Loader on—a Windows variant or Mac OS X?

Re: LP Synced to MIDI Beat Clock in Pro Tools (YES!)
Glad you finally got that sorted. I did a bit of MIDI-through-the-Phatty last week for some tracking and was going to make note of all the PT settings for you, but I would have likely forgot to mention the part about record-arming the track.
Very cool sounds on that track!

Re: LP OS3?
I actually agree on having a LATCH-Button. I often play a note on the LP and play the guitar until i have to play the next note on the LP. Until now I try the best I can increasing the [Realease] to max, but the note fades out too soon... what else could i do? thanks! What I do is keep an 1/8"...

Forum user Krinor a comparison of the LP and Rogue's waveforms here: http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9870 The Rogue seems to definitely have a bit more harshness on tap, but at the cost of being expensive on the used market compared to an LP as well as having the nightmare foa...
