Re: Voyager Old School - Noise and OSC3 switches linked

Steve my man. I am gutted. And really upset about this. :-( Either it got a bit of rough handling crossing the channel ( unlikely - you saw how it was packed !) or Patrick at HHB Service has made a mistake when fixing OSC 3 a few weeks ago. I have a repair docket stating 'machine retuned & calib...

Re: Voyager OS - Third Oscillator Not Always Working

so it seems I should 'fess up about my Old School's OSC3 prob : sounds like I've been a bit naughty with some of the CV's I've been shoving into her ... Just spoke at length with Patrick down at HHB in London who repaired my Voyager - I'd actually taken out one of the dual LPF's which apparen...

Re: Why am I seeing so many hardware issue posts?

I must admit I was a bit pissed at having 2 serious hardware faults in the 1st 2 years with my Old School, meaning it had to go back to be fixed. But the first one was done under warranty & I've had no issues since. Hey, even with a primo instrument like a Voyager I guess these things happen. No...

Re: Lost Sound out of Osc 3

I had exactly the same issue with my VOS at the start of the year : had to go back to the UK distributors to be fixed by their techs... :(

Second time back for my VOS too - first time the whole analogue board had to be replaced, at least it was under warranty that time..

Best of luck mate.

Re: $12.99 Phatty/Voyager Tuner Solution

this is why Tom Oberheim played a blinder by including an A440 tone on my lovely SEM Pro...quick tune up of the SEM, my Voyager & Dark Energy in a flash.

Moog -take note

Re: Post your Old School serial number!

well, despite the cost I've got to say a 1 week door-to-door turnaround time from Source Distribution here in the UK was pretty commendable - fired the VOS up last night...& remembered just why I love that beautiful rich full sound.
Welcome back - missed you! :D

Yeah... "I bought this fabulous synthesizer but am too scared to switch it on & use it..." .
Sounds ludicrous - I'll just keep my fingers x'd for no more faults.

Re: Post your Old School serial number!

to be fair she hardly gets that much hammer - I dont get to do music anywhere near as much as I like, so its only probably a few hours use a week....maybe that's the problem ? :? Maybe I should at least switch her on a bit more, even if I'm not playing her...?

Re: Post your Old School serial number!

I'm hoping that's the end of my bad luck with the VOS - I really don't want to sell her - she was a 40th birthday present to myself & is the centrepiece of my rig....but if I keep having faults every 12 months then I'd have to seriously consider selling :(

think positive - fingers crossed ! :)

Re: Post your Old School serial number!

:( I'm in a bit of a bad mood today - even if a thousand were made, you'd think the QA level would be high. Just got my repair bill of £215.00 GBP ( Plus shipping ) for my VOS which is 2 months out of warranty - OSC 3 just packed up completely. This is the 2nd time it's been back - the first time it...
