Moogerfooger 102 vs. Minifooger Ring

I'm about to add a ring mod to my pedal board, but I can't quite choose between the MF 102 and the new Minifooger. The pros of the MF that I can see are the wider range of CV possibilities and the additional LFO. The cons are the higher price and larger size, as my board is kinda full already. The p...

Re: Slim Phatty OUT of tune

I had similar, yet less severe, problems with octave tracking with my LP S2. I had to run the note calibration process three times in a row, if I remember correctly (without turning the power off), but now it has worked very nicely for some time. Remember to let your sp warm up 30 minutes or more be...

Doepfer dark time with LP

Hi! I've wanted to buy a proper old schoolish sequencer for quite some time and Doepfer's Dark Time http://www.doepfer.de/home_e.htm would be awesome, but I wonder if the Dark time's CV outs can be properly used with the LP. The Dark Time uses 1v/octave which is ok, but the dark time's cv outs outpu...

Re: how do i invert a control voltage?

The Moogerfooger cp-251 would also do the trick. It has a mixer circuit that has a negative output in addition to the normal. You'll get the signal upside down when you plug just the theremins cv into the mixer, you don't have to mix the signal with anything although it's a mixer :D The cp-251 has a...

Re: Idea for a controller

I would find optimal a design that was built the same size as the cp-251 and would have a pitch wheel and also a modulation wheel, a touchplate or two and a ribbon controller. All with cv outs and midi compatibility, that would really be something. Maybe there could also be a four-way multiple so yo...

Re: Moog Slim Phatty

A lot of people complained about the voyager xl and thought that Moog Music would concentrate on more expensive produts from now on, but now with this I'm happy see that they were wrong.

If I can get the money I'll have to consider upgrading my LP II to duofonic sweetness with one of these :D

Re: me exploring my phatty in depth... part 1- external audi

Inspired by this post I decided to get the hang of the ext. audio in feature too! After I figured out how to silence the oscillators I was amazed how cool sounds I could get. I routed my Yamaha sk-30 (an ok multitasker with good organ sounds and decent strings: http://www.vintagesynth.com/yamaha/sk2...

Re: Humpty dumpty LPT lost his screws and sat sadly on the f

Have you tried contacting Moog Music? They could probably sell you new ones. I've heard that they sell spare parts for the newer products, like the LP, and would be strange if they didn't.

Re: Octaves not in tune

I let my LP warm at least 15 minutes before I play it, and often even longer, so that shouldn't be the issue. And it's true that when recording this isn't such an issue as you can tune the LP according to the octave in use, but when I jam and mess around with my friends and use the whole range the t...

Octaves not in tune

I've had my LP for about 4 months now, and the octaves have never been quite in tune with each other. For instance, if I tune the LP so that C1 is in perfect tune, then C2 is a tad flat (maybe about 3-6 cents) and the higher octaves a bit more out of tune, about 9-12 cents. The tuning doesn't really...
