Hi, I would be happy for you to check out the guitar. I do live in Hobart however, so it depends on how that works for you. Unfortunately I don't have any plans to visit the mainland anytime in the near future.
Cheers,
Jonny

Paul Vo Moog Guitar for sale!
I am selling my Paul Vo Moog guitar. #188, scarlet finish and in pretty good condition (except for one small crack on the corner of the back). It has also just had a setup and fret dressing. It of course will include the harcase, control pedal and 5 pin cable. I'm asking $3000 Aus, and I would prefe...

Re: Hiss from mag pickups
I have to say that the hiss is not an issue for me. If you're running higher gain levels, I suppose you might want to invest in an ISP Decimator to knock the hiss out . . . but otherwise, you certainly can't hear it when playing this amazing instrument. I get noise regardless of how much gain I use.

Look at the picture of the back of the guitar. The battery goes in the bottom right compartment.

Re: Hiss from mag pickups
Beard: don't waste your money on a moog guitar; you will be kicking yourself if you do. At the outrageous price it is, the problems outweigh the benefits IMHO. I took a risk and bought mine online. If I had got the chance to test it beforehand, I would not have bought it.

Re: Hiss from mag pickups
I forgot to mention, along with all the other noises, I also get a zippy, fart-resemblant sound whenever i use 'mute' mode (mag pups only, there is no noise with the piezo). This makes it pretty much useless in a recording situation. This sound is also audible in the controlled sustain mode, but not...

Re: Moog strings equivalent?
This might not be of much help... but ive put 11-49 elixir nanoweb strings on my moog recently, and am really enjoying it. No, they aren't cheap (but neither was the guitar, and they last a long time) and IMHO they sound better than the moog strings in most situations. True, they don't sustain (quit...

Re: Hiss from mag pickups
I have had my guitar for a couple of weeks now, and have also encountered all of these problems, and more! I have a paul vo guitar, running into a fractal axe-fx ultra (which is as noiseless as can be). This is all (including the foot pedal and speakers) plugged into a power conditioner. The piezo i...
