Re: I just have to say...

Hearing a DSI in a mix, I could never distinguish it from a softsynth or VA, but I can always tell that a voyager is analog. Never gave it much thought until I read that line. but I think you have a great point.there is a certain magic to the voyager sound in my beats/compositions that I've not fou...

Re: Why should i get a Voyager?

I have the Voyager. Maybe less than 6 months now. Prior to the sub37's announcement. I do love it and I've certainly not maxed or even nearly explored its full potential yet. but i find myself very interested in the sub37 (ever since playing with it at NAMM )and its added features like MultiDrive, D...

well the manual is always the way :D "For the ultimate in genuine Moog polyphony, try connecting several Voyagers together, or a combination of Voyagers and Little Phatty synthesizers. For more information on polyphony connection options, see the MIDI KEY ORDER function on page 65." ******...

Voyager Select with Slim Phatty

So I recently bought a Minimoog Voyager (exciting... wanted one for years and years.) I already have a slim phatty. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using these two together. I linked them via midi last evening and not that the Voyager needs any assistance but the SP added on to make a hug...

Re: Minimoog Voyager vs Voyager RME + VX-352 + Akai Max49

CarlRoda That is a really nice Voyager you have there. I have a slim. and have been tossing between voyager or sub phatty because I want another moog. truth be told i'd prefer a voyager for a number of reasons. Literally almost pulled the trigger on one just last night on ebay. decided it felt too i...

Re: Ever Sample Your Phatty?

I sample the slim phatty all the time into my MPC 5000 to create keygroups that allow me to play polyphonic sp patches. I do this with the DSI mopho too... so cool like having a prophet 8 living in the MPC.

Re: Sub Phatty vs. MiniMoog

Yeah, about that MiniBrute: it stopped worked just moments after posting about it above. The thing is, that was my *third* (and last) unit - the others died as well. The design is killer, the implementation really sucks. I strongly recommend against buying one. My Sub Phatty on the other hand has b...

Re: Discontinuation of the Moog Little Phatty

Sad news. I hate to see moog synths dico'd. well i have a slim phatty. would love a sub but its not in the cards for me. This likely will make the aftermarket prices shoot up sky high for LPs.

Re: Slim Phatty Volume boosts @ sequence record (FF400 - MPC

Looks like the new OS v3.1 for the slim phatty addresses this issue with midi cc output filtering where you can send all cc messages except volume message allowing you to keep control of the volume in your rig.

Re: Slim Phatty Volume boosts @ sequence record (FF400 - MPC

Well after sending the moog back to factory for repair and issue persisting i found the answer was right in front of me... boy what a goof The Mixer of the MPC5000 is controlling volume levels of external MIDI devices. Navigate to Mode > Mixer (Pad 7). The levels you alter here will transmit to your...

Slim Phatty Volume boosts @ sequence record (FF400 - MPC 5k)

I have my slim phatty connected via simple midi cable (midi in) to my MPC (midi out) and audio cable of SP out to FF400. I can play keys and noodle around and volume is just fine but when I hit record on the MPC to record the phatty part the the volume boosts a few notches on its own. I end up havin...
