A few problems with the Minimoog Model D
Hello, I bought a Model D and love it. However, I just had a few issues I'd like to check: 1) The self oscillating filter does not play all pitches and cuts on on the lows. Is this the case with all Moog ladder filters? 2) When I apply the envelope to pitch, sustain is not at 'zero' so I have to ret...

LFO control on the MP 201
Hi, I want to know one thing before I take the plunge here. Thanks for listening! I currently use my little phatty to make midi timed, LFO wobbles. If you send it Midi CC, you can alter the timing of the LFO modulation. Which makes it ideal for the wub, wub dubstep sound that is currently ubiquitous...

Recording button presses on the MP
Hello, I'm just about to splash out the MP. I had one question. I want to send 4 different speeds of ramp modulation, to get the wobble bass sound on a Voyager. I wondered, can I record the button presses into a sequencer? So when I stomp on one of the 4 buttons, it's recorded and then plays back? D...

Re: Filter Overdrive Question
Can I recommend the Electro Harmonix lpb 2ube.
It's got 2 tubes, you can set it up to distort and it has a line level setting.
Whack that in the insert and you've got a great overdrive.
cheers

Loose cut off knob
Hi again,
I am a rather enthusiastic cutoff tweaker, however strange that phrase makes me sound!
My cutoff knob is now looser than the others. It doesn't skip - it's just loose, and makes me worry it might go wrong in the future.
Anyone else had this? Can it be tightened?
Thanks!
Jasper

Re: Using an external modular filter from the Mixer Out sock
Not sure really. I quite fancied getting an MS 20 filter, for something different, and perhaps a bitcrusher. I just wanted to go modular, starting small. With the Dotcom stuff, you really need to go big straight off the bat. There doesn't seem to be a starter kit. Or gateway drug, as someone would c...

Using an external modular filter from the Mixer Out socket
Hello, I am just about to set sail into the world of modulars. Starting small, I wanted to run the audio out of the Voyager through the mixer out, process it with a filter, and then send it back through the same socket. This way it saves money on getting a VCA etc - in the short term at least! I sen...

Help! Voyager's very broken
Argh! My beloved (and very new) synth has gone on the blink. Every time I turn it on, the LFO rate light and screen flash on and off at the same time. None of the controls work.
Any ideas?
best wishes

Re: Controlling Doepfer modular with the Voyager
Ah, so does that mean the Doepfer will fry the Voyager? Sorry to be dense - this is brave and exciting new world I'm journeying into. I expect my neighbours would be very glad if I messed up my Voyager. And my girlfriend.
But I'd be inconsolable, obviously!
thanks for your help

Re: 808 Cymbals on the Voyager
Great tips. I'd love to hear what the winner of that competition came up with. I read up on SoundonSound about bridged t oscillators, and thought to myself: there's got to be a way of doing this on the Voyager. Hmm, I'll try the tips. Perhaps Moog should give us a prize if we manage it! Or perhaps i...

808 Cymbals on the Voyager
Are these the hardest things to program in the world or what?
It's impossible! Anyone manage it? Any tips for cymbal programming? Would a ring modulator help?
Thanks!
And hello. I'm new to this forum

Controlling Doepfer modular with the Voyager
Hiya,
Anyone doing this? I want to extend with a few modules, but I heard the Moog puts out a hot CV signal.
Will I fry Doepfer modules? Does anyone control their Doefper modular using the VX-351?
thanks

Re: Getting Little Phatty filter overdrive sound with Voyage
Just get a cheapy Boss Bass Overdrive. Sends the Moog into a great, warm distortion. It's great for percussion sounds. Whack the noise through an overdrive and it sounds amazing! Filthy drums. Any differences between Boss and boutique pedals do you think? I gather the Boss is analogue, so it sounds ...
