Re: Thread for MF-108 pics/recordings
Ok, here's an offer... I have the next 2 evenings to myself (wife out of town on business) so I may be able to do something. I ran into a dead end last time I tried to do vide because my Sony camera (which I thought was high end when I bought it 2 yrs ago) doesn't have audio out. So my only hope is...

Re: MoogerFooger MF/FM?
There was a great youtube video for the MF/FM when it was "announced" on April Fools day a couple of years ago. Is there still a wroking link to the video?

Re: Thread for MF-108 pics/recordings
Has anyone tried the feedback loop yet? I have . . . and it defied all my expectations. It is Face-meltingly awesome. I really get the sense now that this machine is truly unlimited. The Feedback loops does not bypass the selected LFO waveform, instead you are able to put anything inside the loop a...

Re: Moog Modular
Moog needs to get back into the modular business!!
Repackage the Moogerfooger line as modules! Repackage the MP 201 (or whatever new design is going to follow it) as a module.

Re: what should moog release next?
I wonder how popular a bare bones single-VCO monosynth from Moog would be these days... Something akin to the Micro but with a more modern approach... I'd be far more excited by a synth like the lil-phatty with a less-modern interface....more switches, more dials, more hands on control. Or new inst...

Re: C'mon MF-108
Sweetwater posted a youtube demo using guitar and digital piano.e http://youtu.be/3CpkKZDWeXQ The demo mentions that through MIDI, there are some hidden parameters that can be accessed--that cannot be accessed via the knobs on the front. I wish that these comments were elaborated upon in the video. ...

Moog Tape-bassed sampler
Oh how I wish--I wish--I wish Moog would pick up where instruments like the Birotron/Optigan and definitely the Mellotron left off. I wouldn't suggest that Moog recreated a full-fledged keyboard with 1-tape per key like a traditional Mellotron. But perhaps--if Moog got back into developing individua...

Something to top the Moog Guitar?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muCPjK4nGY4 It's analog! Could Vo Power technology....perhaps controled by midi...make a 6-stringed guitar do something like this? An electro mechanical speech synthesizer. I'm not as interested in making a guitar "talk" as I am curious about what new effects...

Re: Can a MF-107 do this?
Unfortunately no. The application you describe is one of the things I had hoped to do when I first got mine, but it's not possible. The Osc Output on the back of the MF 107 is not a pitch control voltage....It's the pure, ungated oscillator--a very hot loud signal. If you were to plug your guitar in...

Re: NAMM 2011 Speculation
1. An update to one of the existing Moogerfooger designs (either the Ring Mod or Freq Box)...Something that can handle pitch to CV (or MIDI) conversions 2. A unique CV/MIDI interface that, while designed for the Slim Phatty, can also be used to make other gear more playable....not a keyboard or ribb...

NAMM 2011 Speculation
For the sake of claiming "I told you so" rights when the official word is out, does anyone want to venture any guesses about what suprises Moog might have in store for NAMM 2011? The convention will probably highlight The Moog Steel Guitar, Slim Phatty, Filtron, and Voyager XL...but could ...

Re: 104z 'Multihead'
On my 104z daughtercard, there are 3 MN3008 chips. There are spots for fourth and fifth chips, and a jumper... 8) Woah! So--with the blank spots for fourth and fifth BBD chips in the 104z, can a stock 104z be upgraded to a 104SD by just dropping two more delay chips onto that daughtercard? Would an...

Re: Moog Lap Steel
Oh my gosh!!! A Moog Lap Steel jumps off the page at me as so cool...here's why.... I think that a lot of instruments get automatically attached to certain genera. The sound of the steel guitar really conjures a connection to country music that's hard to break away from. For example, I was working w...

Re: MF 104 x 2 vs. Stereo Memory Man w/Hazarai?
The fellas at Switched on Music in Austin, Texas let me try out the Stereo Memory Man w/Hazarai setup. It was really cool. Best way I can describe how it sounds--the delay effect is doubled...with each repeat the signal becomes distorted...but not in the same way as with, for example, the distortion...
