Moog Rogue gate issue / loud thump (technical)
I have a loud pop noise at gate-on in my Rogue. I have checked all pins on all 4000 series ic's and they seem to work fine. All transistors are also working to spec. The only thing I have found is a 2N3904 transistor (Q8) which is under spec and goes positive and negative when the gate is cycling in...

Re: Minitaur and EHX 8 Step Program Sequencer Problem
As far as I know the EHX 8 step program sequencer does not have a gate output. I haven't studied the unit but I would suggest you try the following: Patch the square wave output from the LFO on the CP-251 to the mult. section. Then patch one cable from the mult to the Minitaur gate in and another fr...

Very nice indeed! But they charge $101 (!) for international shipping which is absurd. I would order instantly if they could send them via USPS.

Re: Minitaur firmware update soon - your requests here pleas
I use mine with Roland PK-5 midi pedals. It freezes about once every band practice and needs to be restarted. Do you send Program changes from the PK-5? Exactly what messages are you sending out? Is there anything else in the MIDI "ecosystem" or is it just PK-5 output to Minitaur input, t...

Re: Minitaur firmware update soon - your requests here pleas
Anyone else having your Minitaur "freeze" or become non-responsive? If so, under what circumstances does it happen? I use mine with Roland PK-5 midi pedals. It freezes about once every band practice and needs to be restarted. Of course this usually happens in the middle of a tune. I plan ...

Re: Minitaur technical questions
Thank you for your very good suggestions. Both are valid alternative methods, but as you said - not quite what I was after. What I want is a higher gain for the VCA which keeps the sound going at just about audible levels and then it gets louder in accordance with the envelope on top of this. Probab...

Re: Note freeze?
I use mine with a Roland PK-5 midi foot pedal. Sometimes during songs while rehearsing with my band it suddenly doesn't respond to midi at all. The only thing that works is to power it off and on again. This is rather frustrating and would be a total disaster in a live setting! Amos (if you read thi...

Minitaur technical questions
Hi, I'm enjoying my Minitaur and find it a very flexible little synth. However I wonder if it is possible, for instance in the realm of midi, to do some little tweaks: - Is it possible to somehow "unchain" the VCO's from receiving the same midi notes or cv signal so that I could send midi ...

I doubt you would be able to fry anything with +/- 5-10 volts.Kenneth wrote:I have both, but have not attempted this. I don't have a good understanding of control voltages and I'm terrified I'll fry something if I try anything like that.

Re: Need a good reverb unit
or if you absolutely have to get digital verb, place it on the aux bus of a mixer, so you get the full analog sound of the MF's and still be able to mix in the verb. That's actually the only digital/converters I use in my chain at all. I record to 1" 8 track tape, mix with DAW reverb on the au...

Re: Please HELP! My Moog Prodigy is in trouble
I ended up unscrewing three screws in the back which I later realized I didn't need to remove in order to open the casing. As a result, three different pieces got detached from the back wall of the casing. One was a magnet looking thing, another looked kind of like a fuse with a silver nut below it...
