Re: MP-201 Software Editor
+1 on a software editor too. It would not only make the unit easier to use but far easier to learn how to use.

Re: MP 201 LFO sync to Tap Tempo of MF 105B issues
cheers SteveD.
so in the setup you've described, will the standard triangle LFO suffice, with all its default values?

MP 201 LFO sync to Tap Tempo of MF 105B issues
I've been noticing some less than regular results from trying to set the tempo via LFO to the Tap Tempo input of my Bass MurF. Is the Tap Tempo jack designed to respond to the LFO from the mp 201? Also, is there a way to tweak the LFO so that it communicates better with the Bass MurF? Furthermore, w...

Re: mp 201 and phaser rate
Excellent. The missing piece was not knowing that a CV input for the sweep jack disabled the internal LFO. And you answered another one of my questions as well with regard to creating a sine wave out of a triangle wave. Up till now I thought it was odd that all the waveforms offered had sharp edges....

mp 201 and phaser rate
So far all I can do is program an LFO to rise and fall in time with either tap tempo or midi clock. The effect this has is to increase and decrease the rate of my phaser, as opposed to having it maintain a steady tempo. What I would like to do is have the high and low sweeping in time with the beat ...

Re: MP 201 timing issues
bleep it, i went ahead and made one: download max runtime: http://cycling74.com/downloads/ download the patch: http://www.mediafire.com/?xmnqmmyltii (just delete the.txt after the file). the patch isn't the best realmtime performance instrument, but it'll hold a steady clock and let you change divi...

Re: MP 201 timing issues
pure data eh? I went to the website but was baffled by what the program actually does. Does any of the mac propriety software have a midi clock that can be sent to a device (garage band, or that audio midi setup utility)?

Re: MP 201 timing issues
Yeah that was me on talkbass. It's taken since back then for me to get my head around all this stuff in order to be able to ask questions, but understanding the MP 201 has had my hands full. Tapping in the tempo has not proved reliable, especially with the murf given that I often need to tap in 1/8 ...

MP 201 timing issues
I've recently purchased an MP 201. One function which I assumed it would be able to do it appears it does not (unless someone can tell me otherwise). As a bass guitarist what I really wanted to be able to do was to have my murf rate at 1/16 notes, my ring mod at 1/4 notes and my phaser rate at whole...
