Matriarch Tuning Scale Select feature
From the manual: 4.6 Tuning Scale Select Matriarch is fully compliant with the MIDI Tuning Standard, so you can import, save, and use tuning scales and intonation systems from around the world. Tuning scales can be accessed via MIDI messages, or by using this Global Setting to select a Tuning scale ...

Re: Matriarch - Sonic Character
What were your oscillator level settings in the Mixer? Hi GovernorSilver, On the second recording the settings are identical (single saw, 50% filter cutoff, 50% level, no Multidrive, 50% output volume) Sorry but I was asking about the Mixer module on your Matriarch. It has a Noise knob, and 4 oscil...

Re: Matriarch - Sonic Character
What were your oscillator level settings in the Mixer? One thing I didn't realize until after I bought mine was that turning the oscillator level past noon in the mixer introduces drive. There's also a lot of variance in tone depending on the filter switch(series/stereo/parallel), VCA mode switch, p...

Re: Matriarch LIN FM IN
Out of curiosity, did you try the FM Bender patch from the 2nd Patchbook?
If you haven't yet, that might be worth patching up, then breaking down to learn how it works. I started patching it, then gave up when I ran out of cables.

Re: Matriarch Paraphonic Playing "style"
I guess you could try not only changing the Round Robin Mode setting (3 options) but also the Paraphonic Unison, Update Unison with Note Off, and Restore Stolen Voices with Note Off settings. Perhaps the right combination of values for the above parameters will deliver the predictability that you're...

Re: Is anyone going to Moogfest?
The minimum $199 ticket price is a barrier to me. I don't want to pay for 5 nights of shows if I can only make 3 of them.
I asked them politely about that and got no response. I want to support Moog Music by attending their festival, but I'm not getting a good vibe from these new organizers.

Re: Best midi pickup !
You could try running your bass into the audio-in of the Minitaur, then your bass would at least get processed by the Minitaur filter. You'll need something to send a MIDI Note On message to activate the filter. Here's a video of somebody doing this - with a guitar instead of a bass. http://www.yout...

Re: Moogfest 2014 ticket tier schedule?
It's been two days and no response. What kind of people are running this festival now?
I really don't like this new direction for Moogfest. This new team of event organizers have poor communication skills and appear to be determined to tranform this festival into a Coachella-like disaster.

Re: Moogfest 2014 ticket tier schedule?
I checked their FB page to see if anyone already asked about one-day or one-night tickets. No answer on FB.
I just emailed a question to them about one-night or weekend passes. We'll see if they respond.
If they don't respond, I guess we just have to keep emailing them repeatedly.

Re: A fully analog sequencer from Moog - that's what I want.
I'd been mulling getting a Eurorack modular system from Make Noise or Pittsburgh Modular for sequencing the Voyager, but that was before the Microbrute hit the market. So now the Microbrute is my analog sequencer. Starting small seems to work best for me anyway. Good luck in your analog sequencer se...

Re: categorising presets
Over the holidays I sat down and went through all 800+ presets, and manually categorized any that seemed promising (wrote down in a notebook) by musical function (drones, leads, bass, bells, weird piano, etc.). Also noted which were responsive to velocity and aftertouch. Thanks for the tip though ab...

Re: Why so many dead OSCs?
I certainly didn't say that. I didn't mean for that to be the tone either. It was simply an observation that the Voyager forum had more posts about dead OSCs than the other forums did. I was curious if anyone else had noticed the same and might could shed some light on the reason why. There was rea...

Re: Why so many dead OSCs?
Its all very well posting about how well your voyager maybe working Is the above statement directed towards me? If so, try rereading the OP's posts. He seems to think most Voyagers are made defective - or at least that is the tone he has taken. That is why I said my Voyager works. I wish you luck i...

Re: big reverb for drones??
I believe the Eventide Space has an infinite decay time when the Freeze option is activated. This option is available for 9 of the 12 algorithms. Worth the extra expense over the Cathedral which also has an infinite decay time option? Can't really say since I own neither. The BigSky lets you f...

Re: I want to buy a Voyager
I played a SubPhatty a bit in the store, but since I don't own one, I can't comment with great depth on it. Great sound. I was sorely tempted to torture my credit card to get one on the spot. I think the Voyager's longer keyboard, with aftertouch response, and the touchplate might be enough to give ...
