I am using Ableton, an OS, and a Kenton USB solo. I am wondering if anyone is using the aux out on the solo to connect to the OS? For the most part I connect the kenton to the OS via the pitch and env gate for sequencing. My interest is in other options / connections that may be available.

I got a USB solo to help w sequencing my old school with Ableton.

I am wondering if anyone else is using the Kenton USB Solo and has any suggestions on setup (calibration, LFO settings, ect)?

Random thought - I am getting a bit of a hiss when the solo is plugged in via usb...this doesn't show up ...

Just thought I'd share an update.

Bought a Kenton USB solo. After a trip to the store to get a couple of 1/8>1/4 cables I was up and running. Added a MIDI track to ableton and was able to start sequencing my OS right away. Analog Haven is a cool shop and Kenton has good support. Cheers.

I am wondering if some folks can help me get started sequencing my Voyager OS.

I am using:

Mac / Ableton > Kenton USB Solo > OS

I am wondering about:
1. Ableton sending midi out from a sequence
2. Connections from Kenton usb solo to OS

Is there a consensus on hardware based sequencers? I did a bit of research and it appeared dot com? and doepher ones were popular. Not really sure what I would be looking for beyond say 16 steps and maybe a random button? Any thoughts?

Is there a way I can use ableton to sequence my OS w/o a midi>cv converter?

Can I program a sequence say with an 808 kick, run the out from my mac into the volume in on OS?

I am new to this so was that too basic of a question and something I should learn on my own? LFO modulates vol and pitch I guess?

I am busy playing drums so I wanted to know how I should set things up before I move over to the Voyager.

Hey MC Thanks for the reply. So how did the "rearrangement" process go. I am 3 days into that. I can't stand having wires all over the place. I want to have things going in a click or two. Much more than that and it starts to effect the creative process. Any suggestions on best practices for setup ...
