Cv and gate problem two keyboards
So I have a problem that most likely has an easy solution. I use a Little Phatty CV outs to control a Rogue. At times I want to play the Rogue without disconnecting it from the LP. The problem is, the LPs pitch out CV is always present, whereas the gate is not. Since that pitch cv is always present,...

Rogue CV mod
It has always bothered me that the Rogues pitch cv is transposed in comparision to standard Cv pitches. That is, on modern Moogs 0 volts output(0.04) is an E key. On the Rogue 0 volts is the key of F. This can be adjusted with the CP-251, but why tie up the valuable mixer? You cannot tune the Rogue ...

Re: Prodigy LFO Rate pot replacement?
The pot is a 2.5 Meg (most likely) linear taper. Here is the service manual, I would try to get the thing tuned. It may address the pitchbend issue. http://www.hylander.com/images/schemati ... Manual.pdf

Building a CV mixer. General questions
So I feel that the CP-251 is a great component but I find myself needing another mixer. I have successfully breadboarded the MFOS Cv mixer. Recently I came across the the Moog modular mixer schematic, here is the link(page 55): http://www.hylander.com/images/schematics/moog/MoogModularServiceManual....

New found love for the CP-251
When I first started messing around with this device I had a little buyers remorse. I felt that it was sort of a one trick pony. Recently I discovered that it is far more versatile than I had first expected. I primarily use it as a source of LFO's/noise/ and S+H at a turn of a knob. Now I have disco...

Re: Cv echo
So you want to play the LP's keyboard but have it control the Rogue only and you want the LP's oscillators to be controlled by the Cp 251. Not exactly, I want to use the LP as a controller, to add a second timbre to the audio mix. This means that the LP's oscillators will be heard along side the Ro...

Re: Cv echo
Why can't you just use LP Pitch out to Atten, to Rouge pitch CV in. Why are you running the LP's pitch back to the LP? Eric Let me say that I really appreciate the help but I think that we've confused one another. Nevermind what I said about the voltage increase and running the pitch CV back into t...

Re: Cv echo
If you are asking about the "doubling" that I refer to in the previous post, that occurs by patching the LPs pitch cv out(to control the Rogue) into the mixer on CP-251. The + out goes into the 4 way multiple. This splits to Rogue cv in and Lp in. This is where the voltage increase occurs ...

Re: Cv echo
So let me explain my "situation" a little bit more. I am using the LP to drive a Rogue via CV control to be a second timbre. I also own the CP-251 but am having a difficult time having it effect both synths without messing up the tracking on either keyboard. The issue is if I put the pitch...

Cv echo
Is there any mod out there to make the LP echo an incoming Cv input to the output? Also, What about sending pitchbend +/- voltage to effect pitch Cv out?

Hey Tubeampguy, thanks you so much for posting the pic. I made one of these with a 100k and it works awesome. One thing that I could not gather from the picture was where lug one was connected to.. I assumed to the housing, but when I soldered it this way there was no attenuation so I had to jump it...

In retrospect
I don't know how I overlooked the fact that the pots are Audio(Log) tapered. Now that you mention this, I do notice that the signal is heavy on the end. I opened it up to see how easy it would be to replace the pots with linear tapers. To my disappointment I found that they are the dual ganged(stere...

Need a cheap way to attenuate a signal?
If you're handy with a soldering iron, you can do it with a pot(50k Lin is good). If not, this passive mixer works very well. I find that it compliments the CP-251 very well. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SplitMix4/. edit-note that the pots are audio tapered.
