Re: Moog Attenuator Module on the bay
For Moog Music in the 60s and 70s, $20 might be accurate. But if you can make that same basic panel with new AB quality pots and Switchcraft jacks for $20 today, my compliments to you. :P True, $20 is a bit underestimated. I wasn't even including the price of the panel. Anyhow, what brand of pots d...

I would say, considering that it is made with less than $20 in parts.EricK wrote: wow considering the circuit...that is a bit of brand mark-up, isn't it?

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute
Two small bugs: The first has to do with a stuck note that occurs while menu surfing. If you depress and hold a sustain pedal while under the Gate in option:CV/Hold and switch back the plain CV option the note will stick when the pedal is released. To undo this, you have to flip back to one of the o...

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute
Benjamin: I am not seeing your first bug here (stuck notes when using Hold pedal for sustain). What is your setup? What model of Phatty, are you using poly mode or not, is there a computer in your setup (midi out to computer, midi back from computer to Phatty)? There are a lot of possible configura...

Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute
I found a few new bugs in the new firmware(664). While using the hold function(momentary footswitch) under MIDI Setup I noticed that I would get stuck notes in the keyed mode(non arpeggiated) if I used the footswitch as a sustain pedal. This occurs primarily while striking multiple keys. It sort of ...

Re: LP OS3?
Awesome! LFO reset is a great feature. I love how this sounds on ARP synths. So, thank you for bringing it to the Phatty series. On the weekend even.

One thing at annoys me about the Little Phatty
The PWM effects both oscillators when wave is selected as modulation destination. I wish that there was an option to assign it to just one of them.

Re: Moog Rogue Problems
It sounds like there is nothing electricity wrong. If fact, it seems to be a tuning issue. You see, the trims (that are accessible from the rear) can become sensitive or degrade over time. My advice would be to follow the tuning instructions in the service manual before you start looking into repair...

Re: Is my LFO broken??
It sounds like your LFO is trying to sync with a Midi device. Make sure the LFO source is set to internal.

Re: what should moog release next?
Now that the Voyager XL includes one, how about a nice ribbon controller, USB capable. That would be a good addition to the Little Phatty. One cable that can power the device and send Midi messages. To me, that is very desirable.

Re: MOOG Rogue Case? Mods?
I do not have a custom case for it. I usually pack it around in a large Roadrunner travel case with my mixer and pedals with foam separating everything. As far as a video or sound clips go, I have to admit that I don't own a decent computer or digital camera to take these recordings. I still use fil...

Re: MOOG Rogue Case? Mods?
As far as the mods go, I have done a handful with my Rogue. First I would suggest upgrading the power supply, here is the info on how to do it:http://adagio.calarts.edu/~lorinp/rogueps.html. I have also installed some components that I think the Rogue lacks, like a modulation rate LED. I also feel t...

Rogue Modification: Oscillator Liberation
Well I've always hated how the oscillators are linked by a single switch, so I've attempted to separate them to have blends of saw and square. So today I desoldered the dpdt switch and cut off the leads that went to OSC1. Then I soldered three wires in the holes to replace that side of the switch, t...
