Yamaha EX5 and EX5r both of which will employ Moog Little Phatty Stage 2. - EX5 keyboard can play the LP2 - EX5r can send out arpeggiator information to the LP2 I know ... sort of redundant overkill but I like to send out arpeggiator data, then flick the arpeggiator switch on the LP2. Sort of like o...

what kind of car(s) did Bob drive ?

It was a bit shocking to learn that Les Paul drove a Lincoln Town Car (see: 0:50:49 in the video) http://youtu.be/5yz9lmLlSsc and I always get curious about the day-to-day lives of iconic figures. The Moog Documentary was great - but I've always wondered what car Bob Moog drove. You want to picture ...

Re: External Mod wheel/Pitch bend controller?

Midi Solutions makes little boxes you can connect anything to, including Wheels from old synths, or your own design. Plus - you don't always have to use a wheel. I am doing more things with aftertouch or pressure or pedals. Keeps the hands free to play other things. Just my two bits. Love the wheels...

Re: How Do I: External MIDI Sync of Arpeggiator / LFO ? ?

Found it.

Maddening sub menu in the "Advanced Parameters" .... sheesh. To me there is no such thing as Advance Parameters. They are all basic, vital items you need to shape sound.

Anyway ... you go to Advanced Parameters and go in that way to the Arpeggiator section.

Re: Worth it to go Duophonic?

Worth getting 1 more Slim Phatty to go duophonic. Worth getting 2 more Slim Phatty to go triphonic or add one each to various MIDI keyboards, bass pedals Worth getting 8 more Slim Phattys to go hog wild and make the ultimate Moog Constellation / MemoryMoog. I plan to just keep buying as many as I ca...

Re: MIDI syncing SP to PT

I am hoping somebody can answer this (or my post) because it seems like this should be a no-brainer.
But I've had similar problems that are driving me around the bend!

I feel like I am missing something bloddy obvious.

How Do I: Save the new name of the patch?

Okay, so I have carefully dialed each letter slowly and carefully. I have carefully pushed the value button to move the cursor over wrong (this instruction is WRONG in the manual, by the way). I have carefully, I THINK, saved that voice. But when I go to a new patch and come back, the name is the OL...

How Do I: External MIDI Sync of Arpeggiator / LFO ? ?

Controlling the Little Phatty Stage II from a 61-note MIDI controller. For the most part everything working fine. For the life of me, can't seem to get the Arpeggiator to sync by MIDI to the external drum beats, etc, etc. I THINK that I following all the steps. I go into either the Global page, or t...

Re: synth on "all my love" Zeppelin?

Doing the math reveals there are still some GX-1's out there, as well as EX-1's and FX-1's and so on. Due to circumstances, I've moved on to a whole new Electone platform that solves a lot of problems for me. I swear by these instruments, and wonder why other synth manufacturers don't explore the po...

Re: Rain/Water on my Little Phatty!

You need to find a packing box, then send your Little Phatty to me for this very lengthy procedure (about 12 months normally) where I carefully dry out and then test your Little Phatty.

Re: Illuminated Moog Logo on back of LP ?

thanks... those are good ideas. I was HOPING that MOOG ENGINEERS would design and build such a model ... like the way the Apple logo lights up on laptops when they are open. I GUESS I am just going to HAVE TO BUILD THIS MYSELF. <sigh> I've been a Moog user for ... 31 years .... thought they might bu...

Re: little phatty stage II vs minimoog v

I like both. I'm running Little Phatty, SE-1, Novation Supernova (virtual), Nord rack something and Waldorf Micro Q box. They all sound great and do different things in different ways. I can hear the differences - - but I like those differences. Thankfully these are all small enough items to sneak i...
