Re: Coming back... 3k for a new select series?

I'm with EricK on this. I'm a Select owner and absolutely adore the piece, but if you're going secondhand I would just nab an XL. I've seen some Select pieces going online for $2k which is great, but may as well go the extra mile if you're considering getting a CP and VX further down the road.

Re: Final Production of the Voyager Announced

Moog was kind enough to respond to someone's concern on FB and stated that the XL "is sticking around".

Re: is it worth to do?

Have you considered taking it to a shop and maybe running it side by side with a Sub 37? That....in and if itself...would be a pretty wild enhancement, and probably still cost less in the long run. $3,500 is indeed a solid price for the XL. The scenario raises a couple of questions, though. 1) If we...

Re: is it worth to do?

I getcha. Well, how old is your Select? My filter isn't packing too much of a punch without a bit of fiddling right now, but I'm thinking that may be due to it needing to visit the shop for calibration. Was the upgrade awhile ago?

Re: Need a comparison between 108 and 103. Audio or words

Just get'em both. Once you have the one, you'll definitely want the other one too. :P They both have their merits. It really just depends on what flavor of time based effect you're looking for. I guess I could describe one "boring" (it's not boring, actually) application. Let's say you're ...

Re: I Found My Delay

Strymon seems rock solid for just about any instrument you can throw at them (I'm a multi instrumentalist, too). Great stuff! I'm looking forward to grabbing a Timeline and Big Sky myself, and incidentally going on a diet that wasn't previously planned. Body by Electronics. Winner Winner...Ramen Din...

Re: is it worth to do?

Honestly, it's really up to identifying the need. What do you wish was on the Select? Are you going to use the extra keys? It has the ribbon controller, but how often are you using the touchpad, and how? Things like that. The Performer and Select are fantastic machines in their own right. I've had a...

Out of Memory?

I think I read awhile ago that the memory on Voyagers is swamped, so there won't be anymore updates. Am I remembering this correctly, or is that the defeatist in me trying to rationalize buying a second Voyager or/and a Sub 37 so that I can increase modulation capabilities?

Re: just when I think I'm getting a little bored of the voya

I saw that!!! Another great idea. I was fortunate enough to borrow a friend's small case and ran OSC3 out into an STG Wavefolder then back into the Voyager. I'd always wanted an isolated oscillator (three running full tilt is cute and funny until it gets old), and running 3 into outboard worked wond...

Re: just when I think I'm getting a little bored of the voya

I just wanted to give this a little bump to give ColorForm2113. I'd actually never thought of this. Well played, sir. Well played. I'd actually had an idea on how to modulate some other parameters (I've been avoiding the keyboard lately *gasp* and pulling as much musicality as I could via texture an...
