Re: Minimoog Model D app- pitch bend range

Update: Moog, thank you, thank you, thank you for updating for this app so that users can set pitch bend range to three, four and ninety-six semitones. I have every other instrument that I own set to a four semitone range, so the previous limitation made the app of only limited use to me until now.

Re: Moog synthesizer model comparison

I saw this chart posted on the Keyboard Magazine forum a few weeks ago. re: Multimoog - The chart says, "extra VCO doesn't add much above Micromoog, hard sync sweep is limited" As a person who traded up from a Micromoog to a Multimoog, I very much disagree with the first half of that state...

Re: Multi Moog Synth Polyphony

Hey Captainflint, Sorry to hear about the challenges, but happy to hear that you are channeling energy into music making. When I put a hold on gigging due to tendonitus issues for a couple of years, I put more effort into composing. Anyway, I'm not sure if it fits the bill, or if control voltage sta...

Re: Beefing up Micromoog sound

Cool! I would love to hear this. Is there any chance that you will be uploading some audio or video of this modded Micro? Having gone back to read through some of the posts in this thread, I thought that it might be of use to someone if I reposted the link that I put up in this forum five years ago....

Re: Minimoog Model D app- pitch bend range

Am I alone in this line of thinking, or does it concern anyone else too? Sorry to quote myself, but given that my post has 24 views and zero responses, I'd say that the answer to my question is the former, not the latter. As specific pitch manipulation is so important to me, I'm not sure what use t...

Minimoog Model D app- pitch bend range

Pitchbend range can be set to only 2,5,7,12,24, or 48 semitones. Animoog has those intervals, but adds 3,4 and 96 semitones. I always program bend range to 4 semitones, so Model D's limitation is frustrating. In fact, omitting any other interval choices (within reason) seems really unnecessary. As m...

Re: RE: Mini / Multi - Home Recording (FX)?

If I was to get the RIBBON CONTROLLER completely DISABLED on my MULTI , and also ditto for the FORCE SENSOR (is the AFTER TOUCH sense) then would connecting a PEDAL (as recently discussed) still allow me to control parameters ( PITCH BEND , FILER MOD , etc)? Or will this ( PEDAL ) facility be autom...

Re: RE: Mini / Multi - Home Recording (FX)?

You're welcome Paul. I don't have any other YT videos going at the moment, though I have been giving some thought to adding to the series. I get what you mean about not triggering the Multi while passing Juno audio through it. If you just want the Moog's filter to be static (no modulation), then jus...

Re: RE: Mini / Multi - Home Recording (FX)?

Paul, run the audio output from the Juno into audio input of the Mutimoog. Run the Mulitmoog's audio output into your mixer (or amp). Don't run anything back into the Juno. Turn the Multi's oscillators to off. Turn the Multi's volume knob up. Do not set filter mode to tone; set it to norm or full. I...

Re: RE: Mini / Multi - Home Recording (FX)?

You asked about the theme that I was improvising on in my YT video. I don't know if it is from a movie or not. If it is, I wasn't consciously doing that. The closest thing that I could think of is the theme from Love Story (old movie). Who knows? Yes, there are a few hints towards LOVE STORY (a sec...

Re: RE: Mini / Multi - Home Recording (FX)?

I don't think (as per usual!) I described my question accurately/properly. If so, then my wrong! I meant (rather than as a pre- MIDI system), using the MULTI as a PROCESSOR of sorts. So not to trigger NOTES ,but to just be able to shape/filter to timbre of the JUNO . In other words, something of a ...

Re: RE: Mini / Multi - Home Recording (FX)?

Hello Piktor, I'm not sure if you are literally trying to get the sound of a saxophone on the Multimoog, or if you are trying to get an expressive sound that is saxophone-like. I am far from an expert, but don't think that the Multi is going to get you a saxophone sound. I don't really think that y...
