I have 488 and it won't register either. Same with my etherwave.

Re: Controlling Doepfer modular with the Voyager
The modular in the pic is sadly not mine, but Keith Emerson's. I have 18u of eurorack at the moment. The voltages in eurorack are nowhere near large enough to harm the voyager, and I think I read that the Voyager is protected from larger voltages (I am NOT a moog technician nor is any of this an off...

Re: 808 Cymbals on the Voyager
This might help: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jul02/articles/synthsecrets0702.asp The voyager doesn't really have the right architecture to produce TR808 cymbals, but other cymbal sounds can be accomplished with white noise, frequency modulation, the bandpass filter, and hard sync on the voyager.

If clipping is the problem, then it's not the voyager's fault.

Re: Should Roland and Korg get back in the analog market?
I think another interesting sub-topic to discuss would be the backlash and naysayers if Korg/Roland make an analog. If Moog and DSI can get criticized for the Voyager/P08 not being a replica of a Model D/Prophet 5, then imagine what the synth community would say about Roland and Korg, even if their ...

Re: My Chemical Romance and the Moog Voyager
You asked for opinions on the band. Just because I think the band is bleep doesn't mean you should get defensive. You asked for opinions and I said "emo". Here is a longer opinion: I don't care for MCR's brand of whiny trendy bullshit, and the fact that grown up men prance around wearing w...

Balanced cables do not match impeadance. Balance cables eliminate noise by phase cancelling noise picked up by the cable.

Yes, the operating system can still be updated, you just wont get all of the new preset banks. The librarian will store presets, or you can store presets without the librarian by saving Sysex files.

Re: Should Roland and Korg get back in the analog market?
I think the monotron is just testing the market to see the response and statistics of analog sales. While I don't really want Korg to just make a modern ms10, I think that's the first logical step. If any company, including Moog, makes a poly, I really hope it's not just a bread and butter Jupiter/p...

Re: Should Roland and Korg get back in the analog market?
I really really really don't want to see an analog from Roland. I think that Korg is the only big company that could do it right, but they would probably start with a MS-10 style design with digital control. I haven't played a Gaia, but I did see several up close and I really hope that Roland doesn'...
