Very cool for the company! Seems like it would be a great place to work.

Re: Biggest news in MOOG History coming Monday?

Gear for the 1%. Maybe a little. Not sure I agree completely though. Years ago people would spend as much as they would on a car to buy a Hammond organ or a minimoog, or perhaps as much as a house (or two) on a modular. Even today classical instruments with pedigree cost huge sums of money and thos...

Re: Biggest news in MOOG History coming Monday?

Not being able to afford these is one thing. People getting upset for whatever reason is absurd. This is unbelievably cool news and it looks and sounds like moog did a great job.

Re: Voyager/Old School: your best of all time?

I've been thinking about letting my Old School go as well but only for either a Voyager Performer or Model D. I've been dying to try a midi'd Voyager but then... theres the sound of the Model D but then... there's the price of Model D's these days... I don't know. Did that help?

Re: Problems with insert cable?

The insert loop is best used with effects that don't require the sound to be animated for the effect to be interesting. Delays and envelope followers aren't so great in the loop for example, because the oscillators are always on at the send plug of the loop. Distortion, phase, ring mods all sound gr...

Re: Biggest Pipe Organ in the World (7 manuals)...

Pipe organs and their history is interesting to me. I grew up a few miles from the original Wurlitzer plant in NY. In that case you might want to check out "All the Stops" by Craig R. Whitney. It chronicles the history of the pipe organ and the famous musicians who played it; in particula...

Re: A trick to make the Voyager sound better

It could be that changing the op amps for the headphone output results in an improvement in the stock sound of the phones but that shouldn't affect the normal outs of the voyager, right? Also it sounds like your headphone outs may not have worked correctly to begin with. It's entirely possible that ...

Re: Right order for Moogerfoogers

I tend to put my 101 at the end in order to tame the often insane highs coming from everything else. Its good for altering timbre. I also tend to keep the signal as pure and simple as possible for the 102 since it can get a bit clangorous real fast. That one usually goes first. Flux in the middle.

Re: OS Osc 3 sounds different that 1 & 2

I spent a little time A/B/C ing the oscillators on my OS last night and found the same thing mentioned in the original post. 1 and 2 are very very close sounding and 3 is a bit different. It's definitely subtle but there is no doubt it sounds a little different, more or less depending on the wave sh...

Re: Taurus 3 firmware update - v2.0.3

You might need to recalibrate the control wheel? After the first firmware update I did I noticed I couldn't easily zero whatever parameter I was controlling. Recalibrating worked perfectly.
