The Sub 37 is a more powerful and versatile beast than the LP. It can create the same sounds as an LP as well as many that are impossible on that instrument. the synth has digital control, no audio passes thru the filter pot ^ :? I don't think you provided enough information or your own troubleshooting for people to be able to provide reasonable help. If you check the UL label on a Voyager you can see that it is rated for 40 watts. Mine operates off of a steady 18 watts, and 20 watts with the backlight fully on. Naturally, this would be higher with a lamp attached.

I measured this on my Kill-A-Watt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kill_A_Watt).
