Re: Sub 37 - Keyboard quality and playability
I could very easily get a new set of lighter springs from the local Moog technicians here in Switzerland and the keyboard already feels a lot more natural. I could change the springs myself, no big deal if you are careful. The springs are the same for black and white keys indeed, but are attached ...

Re: Sub 37 velocity
I got email contact with Amos from Moog in the meantime. Here's what he says about it:
I may not be able to fix this immediately, meaning as a part of the soon-to-be-completed current round of firmware changes, which we are trying to wrap up in time for the Editor release (which is planned for ...

Re: Sub 37 velocity
Here's a chart of my playing of a 2 octaves chromatic scale on the SUB37 and other various keyboards I own. I tried to play with the same intention on every keyboard.
Any comments? Seems to be a serious calibration problem, right? Anyone else getting that kind of values?

Re: Sub 37 velocity
No problem! ;) I happen to be a professional jazz pianist and know the ins and outs of practicing scales which I also still do and enjoy!
Out of the blue, your remark sounded a bit professorial and out of context, just wanted to let you know, although it seems you didn't mean it. That's the problem ...

Re: Sub 37 velocity
Ok, thanks for the input. I'm starting to think my sub37 might have a problem, maybe I should have it checked.
anyone else having experience on this issue??
oh, and:

Re: Sub 37 velocity
Hi,
I would love to use this velocity functionality of the SUB37, but I happen to struggle a lot with it...
While playing, I am very quickly hitting the highest velocity values (120-127), which make the velocity mapping function almost unnoticeable, because always hitting the ceiling... I don't ...

Re: sub37 version 1.1 release date?
Hi there,
Here's an update on firmware 1.1's state of things that Amos posted on another thread in this forum last week. Thought this might be of interest here too...
Cheers
Ben
Can't wait for firmware 1.1, should have been out for a while now... any idea when it will finally be released?

Re: Sub 37 feature suggestions - firmware updates
A must be, IMHO, for a future firmware update: velocity curves!!
I find the curve of the sub 37 firmware 1.0.7, to be way too sensitive for my playing style. I am always hitting high values and cannot really use to expressive possibilities of it. Implement a standard Soft/Normal/Hard curves choice ...

Re: Sub 37: retrigger Arp/Seq on key press?
Go to: GLOBAL MENU / SEQ OPTIONS / KBD RESET = ON
Hi benbravo,
Glad you found it. Two points of clarification:
1) It will only work if the ARP/SEQ is not currently running.
In other words it only works for the very first note that starts the ARP/SEQ. After that first time, new notes will only ...

Re: Sub 37: retrigger Arp/Seq on key press?
Oh alright, I found it! This is a global setting. I was looking into preset -> arp options. But instead go to: Global -> Seq options -> Keyb reset ON
Works for both sequencer and arpeggiator. Having this as a per preset parameter would be nice though.

Re: Sub 37: retrigger Arp/Seq on key press?
Thanks for your answer Toine. Sync button will sync the rate to MIDI clock or tap tempo, which is good but doesn't really help here. The problem is, with lower arp rates, if you don't play exactly on the beat, you get no sound until the next beat comes. I'd like to have the arp clock reset on first ...

Sub 37: retrigger Arp/Seq on key press?
Hi there,
Just got a sub 37, fantastic instrument, enjoying it a lot !! :)) A lot more aggressive and edgy than the voyager, which I also love but find a bit too gentle and smooth for my playing style, especially in the lower register.
I am looking for a way to retrigger the clock of the arp/seq ...

Minimoog model D in Voyager gig bag ?
Hi all,
The subject says it all...
Would my old minimoog model D fit into the Moog Gig Bag sold for the Voyager ?
I know the model D is somewhat higher ...
Has someone already tried that ?
Thanks for the help,
Ben.

Moog model D how to use the glide/delay jack inputs
Hello Moog friends,
I am the owner of a minimoog model D serial 12000 something.
I am wondering how to use the 2 jack inputs beside the delay/glide switches ?
The jacks are not the usual instrument jack input, but some smaller kind... why ? what kind of cable should I use with that ?
Would a ...
