options: 1) get an ehx deluxe memory boy and use the $ you save to buy your girlfriend a gift in apology for spending $650 on a delay pedal. 2) get a soldering gun and revise your circuitry. 3) turn your mix to full dry. run the 'delay out' through your effects. externally mix your 'mix out' and eff...

regarding ehx, the new deluxe memory boy has cv control as well; an expression pedal input that can be set to control a variety of functions. the pedal also has an fx loop to process repeats and, unlike the moog, the first repeat is also processed. i can't say anything about sound quality, but funct...

that's exactly what happens - original note, repeat note, then repeat notes processed by whatever is in the fx loop. this happens because the repeats sent to the output are taken from before the fx loop in the signal feedback chain. you could fix this by taking output from after the fx loop, or putt...

yeah, from what i can see the new ehx deluxe memory boy also runs the signal through an external fx loop before sending it to the delay chip. dunno what the downside to this is; perhaps things get muddy quick, especially with a lot of feedback. from the block diagram it looks like an easy mod to the...

moogerfooger delay modifications
hello, got a question for moog (or anyone else with a penchance for doing dirty things with a soldering iron): after a quick run through the block diagram, i can see why the loop in/out misses the first delay repeat. i find this a little annoying, and was wondering if it was possible to modify the p...

never happened to me, but i would ***assume*** that moog uses a shorting jack on the 'carrier in' input. so, the internal carrier is connected to the ring mod via a signal path that travels through the 'carrier in' jack. when you plug an external carrier in, the internal one is diconnected mechanica...

use the hog in step bend mode with just the fundamental on as the carrier in, and send the dry signal to audio in. now the carrier will track the input, with a pitch offset set by the expression pedal. given that the hog will take cv inputs, try using an lfo, envelope follower or envelope follower c...

the internal carrier frequency is adjusted by cv, but the ringmod has the ability to take an external carrier also. if you want tracking, just split your signal and send it in both the carrier in and the audio in. i presume some interesting effects could be had by processing the carrier frequency (d...

that would be a good day. dunno if i want to wait, however (general consensus is that hell is going to get hotter before it ever freezes over ...). the electro-harmonix hog is currently serving as my vca and eg. while digital, if feels and sounds analog. i think they decided to go digital given the ...

thanks folks. i'm currently looking at the orb and the mfb step64. the orb is cool in that it incorporates a midi/cv converter so that i can use a cheap midi keyboard to produce cv. the orb is only single track, however ... the mfb step64 is multi-track, so i can get all kinds of crazyness going on,...

hi there. i'm new here, and new to modular sythesis. i have a cp-251, a lowpass filter and a ring mod, and am scratching the coin together to get a delay as well. i am a guitarist, and have many other effects pedals, including an electroharmonix hog. i would note that the hog takes cv control of the...
