Re: Finally tried new Mini D

A bit of use and the pitch wheel loosens up a bit, a lot of people complained about it being stiff in the beginning. I got mine 6 months ago. It's just awesome.

Re: Model D or MFB Dominion 1?

I have both (and the voyager). I love the mini D, god help me, I really really do, it's incredibly musical at almost every setting. It just sounds great and goes to 11. But the Dominion 1 is 1/3 the cost, with far more modulation, and patch storage, and it is punchy and big sounding. It perfectly ho...

Re: voyager or new model d?

I own the voyager and its a more flexible synth than the mini D, darker too. The mini D goes to 11 is worth the hype. If this is a faithful reproduction of the sound of the old mini, then I'd get the mini D. I'm going to add it to studio and keep the voyager.

Re: Important Question About VX-351

I was a bit worried about doing this too at the time that I got it, as I had never messed with boards or electronics before. But don't worry, follow the instructions, it really is quite easy to do. Just make sure to seat it down fully and apply the pressure evenly.

fyi Mine fell outside the stated serials as well and was bought in 2009. I had the IC failure and had to have the board replaced.

Re: Sound Problem: delayed or not triggering at all

No Dice with the OS. Although, here is an odd thing, if I plug the headphones in and listen very carefully with no other sound in the room, I can hear some of the patches through the right side of the headphone at a terribly low volume, like almost hard to hear. From what I can tell the patch is res...

Re: Sound Problem: delayed or not triggering at all

Thanks I will try that a reset. I just got the voyager hooked up in the studio and the same issue is happening regardless of using headphone output or audio output. I fear I have a dying chip somewhere. I can get sound on some presets and then nothing on others after allowing warm up. Then when I go...

Sound Problem: delayed or not triggering at all

I'm hoping this is an issue with warming up the voyager but it's not one I've encountered before even after leaving it off for a month or two. However this time my voyager has been in dry, warm storage for two years before moving it across country using a moving vehicle. It has remained double boxed...

some bad luck with cats

so I've managed to keep my voyager in mint condition.. until this recent move in with a fat ungainly cat that thought jumping up on the voyager was a splendid idea. Jackass. I've oiled the wood which helped a tad but its not terrible but its not great. so does anyone know what stain is on the mahoga...

Re: Interesting model D / Voyager comparision

interesting read thank you... What I've learned is: I need a cp251 to add to my voyager and I should probably just be on the look out for a model D while I'm at it. I love these synths. I have never assumed the voyager was a remake of the model d but rather a tribute to it but different in its own r...

Re: moog voyager + fractal audio axefx ultra

thanks for this.. I've been curious about this effects processor it seems a good go to for a synth guitarist like myself... I've mostly dedicated my studio to synths and a few high end effects (eventides) but also play guitar... however I don't want to invest in tons of pedals (though I have some a ...
