Re: where is the poly stacked SP video/demo?

Just saw this today and it blew my mind.. sounds way better than I expected.... I know I need this now.... kinda perplexed as to why Moog never wanted to make their own demos and market it this way.... but, so glad this guy did..... love all his videos.

where is the poly stacked SP video/demo?

C'mon.... you guys said you'd try to put something back in October...

You even had it all set up at NAMM...

But I can't find a video or demo of how they sound stacked together, ANYWHERE....

Re: NAMM 2011 Speculation

what I'm interested in even more is... would racks full of slim phatty's take up just as much money? or less? Let's be honest here, at this time with the prices of some of this stuff... money is mostly the deciding factor for those of us that are not abundant in funds.

Re: NAMM 2011 Speculation

Unless they go back on everything they've built and start using DCO's and things to build one. How opposed to a Moog DCO - based polyphonic would you be? Or with self-contained VA or wavetable types of oscillators? Is Moog only Moog if the entire sound chain is analog using traditional VCOs, VCFs, ...

Re: NAMM 2011 Speculation

You'll be turning blue in the face if you hold your breath for a stand alone Moog Poly Synth at this NAMM.

poly chained phatty's is as far as I think we're gonna get for a while here.

Unless they go back on everything they've built and start using DCO's and things to build one.

Re: NAMM 2011 Speculation

Ok so... I bought my LP brand new, stage 2, meaning years after it's release.. for 1400$ Not to belittle it at all, because I maintain till this day it was one of my best purchases, and my favorite synth... But that is 1 analog monophonic synth. 2 Oscillators, 1 voice, midi/usb etc. Your arguing tha...

Re: NAMM 2011 Speculation

Do Moog have their booth setup? I don't see any news about them at NAMM yet?

Pretty sure my money's going towards the Tempest this year.... Still excited to see that poly setup with the SP and LP's

Re: Opinions? Should I swap my TE (#42 of 1200) for a new LE

If you wont really lose any money on it than do the swap. The new one has more functionality... if your going to use the CV stuff than yeah, it makes sense to swap... I really dont see any reason why you'd wanna keep the TE except for maybe color scheme?

Re: NAMM 2011 Speculation

yeah that's the one mentioned.

Tho I really dont care for another duophonic video personally, as I already do that with my LP and RME.... I'm more interested in seeing what a 4 voice moog setup would be like.

Re: NAMM 2011 Speculation

I think I was semi-right. Saw this on moog's facebook post for a duophonic video someone put up. "The fellas at Source Dist., Moog Music's UK distributor, are at it again. This time they've posted a vid of a duophonic Moog Phatty: the Slim Phatty and Little Phatty chain. Wait til you see the fu...

Re: NAMM 2011 Speculation

Here's what I see happening.... Since they've released quite a few new products this year, which were not teased at last years NAMM... I doubt any new products are going to be released. Not to say that they won't put on a show... I have a feeling they will have a 4 Voice setup with the LP and 3 SP's...

Re: Voice Expansion Video in the works? pic

It'd be about time if they did. They said they'd make one "within a few weeks", back in October. I've been waiting ever since to hear / see a demo. I don't mind putting money down for a product, and I love my Moog's.. but I'm not gonna buy 2 SP's without at least hearing a demo of how they...

Re: What mixers do you guys use?

A friend of mine has a couple of the Mackie mixers, a 1640i and a 12 channel version of the same hardware, both of which were intended to be used simultaneously under Mac OS X. It turns out that they can not be used at the same time.. supposedly the units use Apple's CoreAudio drivers, and Mackie s...

Re: Slim Phatty 808 Kick Drum

Factory Preset 80 is the closest I have ever heard to a TR-808 Kick drum Im totally shocked at how usable the Slim Phatty is for perscussion-the egs are faster than my old Pro One hmm weird, I've tried doing this from scratch but never got it to sound too great.... probably just need some more prac...

registering used products on the main site?

Is there a way to register my RME on the main site? I bought it used a year ago, my friend who I bought it from bought it used off another guy a year before that... Not sure if someone else has registered and left it or something... but is there any way for me to register it? Just thinking for legal...
