Re: Moog Sub Phatty custom wooden side panels
That's very nice. The Nord case/stand looks great too.

Re: Mould on wood panels
I opened it up and thankfully none on the inside that I could see. Couple of marks on the underside of the case (including a white-ish one near footswitch) but doesn't look like mould to me and the circuit board looks pristine. I've put it in a new spot.

Re: Mould on wood panels
Thanks for the replies. I'll open it up tomorrow and check it out inside.
Interestingly, another one I store in a cotton (I assume it's cotton) bag has no obvious trace of it. This one mentioned above was in another spot, in the cardboard box under the cardboard "sides" that come in the box..so am ...

Mould on wood panels
I took out one of my mf's which had been in a box, to find mould spores on the wood panels. Not a huge amount but not ideal at all.
I have been successfully using diluted clove oil to kill mould on other things. So, I sprayed some on a cloth, dabbed/wiped the wood down, and then wiped over it all ...

Re: LP vs SP tuning stability
From my limited experience that seems to be the case (ie slim not as stable or taking longer to get stable). Perhaps to do with the larger enclosure of the LP?

Re: Slim Phatty tuning drift
Yeah it seems that would be the only option (plugging in backstage) but then there's venues where you don't always get access to power prior to the gig. People obviously use them (and others like the voyager etc) so there must be a workaround..or a lot of use of the fine tune knob and a tuner.

Re: Slim Phatty tuning drift
Thanks for the replies.
The location of the phatty doesn't experience temp changes. It has been pretty hot lately (QLD, Australia) but generally a constant temp when I am using it.
Sounds like I should try warming it up for 30 mins and try that. Then I suppose calibration may be the next step ...

Slim Phatty tuning drift
Hi
I am very happy to now own a Slim Phatty, which in general I am extremely happy with. I am having an odd tuning issue though.
I have set tuning to "auto" but I am finding the tuning is drifting while I am using it, (am noticing this while recording over a guitar line). I always let the Phatty ...

Which cables to use for CV control
Hi There
This is probably a very basic question but I'm new to moogerfoogers and other cv devices in general, and just want to be sure I'm going about things the right way...
If I want to run a pedal/device with, say an LFO out jack into the CV In on a moogerfooger, should I be using a particular ...
