Well you were right about them being available on Moog Music. Found the page for it just a little while ago. It's a bit more spendy than the LP but still possible for me to save up for in a reasonable time if I'm careful. In the meantime I've been reading the manual and trying to find videos so I ca...

Now if you want my opinion, If i were blind, I would go for the Old School, because there are NO menus to worry about, but me knowing what I know, being blind wouldn't mean that I would want to sacrifice the synthesizers capabillity. On the performer edition, it would be hard to operate the menu bu...

 That could be partly why I'm having so many problems playing the durn thing. My Etherwave might not even have been in tune when it arrived and since I obviously can't read the print manual (although I do now have a PDF version), I never even thought to try tuning. Of course I'll need to get a...

Well I did it for the LP, now for the Voyager.

Well it's been a while since I posted here. In the meantime I've been practicing my theremin and looking for work so I can save up for that LP. Glad I finally got some more definitive answers about how the LP was upgraded to be more blind friendly. Apparently there's an option to set the menus up so...

Think I'll stear clear of Craigslist. I've heard too many stories about people using it for...other purposes by advertising fake merchandise. Setting that aside though I'd be more than a little leery about what condition the item is in. THink I'll try and save up and buy brand new from Moog or an au...

That's cool. And as an added bonus after talking with a technician from Moog I think I finally understand how the modifications work. Apparently it's now a standard feature when you get an LP. There's apparently an option to turn menu wrapping off. Obviously for a blind person that's an almost inval...

Ok so I have another question about the LP. One of the things I'd like to be able to do in my music is to be able to create ambient sound effects. I know a lot of people do that. Jean-Michel Jarre does this, although he uses synthes like the EMS Synthi AKS or newer models. What I'm curious about is ...

Any particular model? I want to do some research on this if I can. That way I can make sure to save up enough money for both at once.

Hmmm, would a TB-15 amp work? Or would that be too weak a signal? I ask because that's the amp I use for my theremin, which I really need to try practicing more often than I do. I've also got another amp that I use for my Ibanez electric guitar, this one a baringer (Sp?) that I could possibly try.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I actually had a little chat on Youtube with thereminist Thomas Grillo, who incidentally happens to be legally, though not totally blind, and he told me that he did indeed have a blind friend who'd gotten a modified LP from Moog Music. THe changes weren't quite what I...

My brother mentioned that Whole Lotta Love thing. The theremin was the "orgasm machine." As for me, I've had my Etherwave for a good four or five months and I still sound like a cat fight. Well actually I was never quite that bad. Of course at first I didn't know you should let the theremi...

I definitely love the sound of the Little Phatty. I listened to all those vids on Youtube that Jordan Rudess did. Pretty nifty.

I got my Etherwave back in February. It's a standard model and I didn't get it directly from Moog Music, but so far it's been a lot of fun. About the only problem is that I really don't have a lot of space to practice in. I've got a small and rather cluttered studio apartment. In fact the only way I...

I actually have a download of the manual already. I've spent a lot of time reading it, but since none of the music stores in the town where I live has any units to demo it's not very clear.

Newby intro and questions

Hi all, I just joined the forum yesterday and my account was just activated this morning. That said I decided I'd post here to introduce myself and ask my question. Well first off I'm 29 years old and a recent member of the Moog family, so to speak. My interest came about primarily as a result of re...
