minimoog D noise on filter?
Quick question.. Should i be able to hear white noise on filter modulation with noise switched off? got a Model D. Definitely hearing a white noise hiss on the filter and the only way i can get rid of it it to hang the noise switch in a position between white and pink.. that can't be right, can it? ...

Re: Minimoog D 'Emphasis' fault.
Thanks. didn't really want to go looking for someone else to have a shot at it but maybe that's what it needs.
I did consider buying one of those repro '4' PCBs and if it worked, using it to compare with my one.. then hopefully selling it on if i find the problem.

Re: Minimoog D 'Emphasis' fault.
i must be looking at a sightly different schematic to you as the numbers you're using don't match: http://www.fantasyjackpalance.com/fjp/sound/synth/synthdata/16-minimoog/schematics300/minimoog-schematics-04.gif But I think i follow you all the same. I'm pretty sure it's a problem on the PCB as i've...

Minimoog D 'Emphasis' fault.
Hi, so the Emphasis knob on my model D no longer works.. it has no effect. I pulled out board 4 and checked the knob was functioning and had continuity to the PCB socket. No problems. Also checked my +10 and -10 volts - ok. There's also a line on the filter board marked +15v.. it appeared to have so...

Re: MuRF overload ?
I think I can answer my own question and will do so just in case anyone else finds the info useful. I found as a played with the pedal the fault became more difficult to replicate. I also noticed some of the sliders had a slight bit of crackle on them.. As I played with them that went away. So I thi...

MuRF overload ?
I just picked up a second hand MuRF. Checking it out it appears mostly ok but I noticed that if I crank the 3.4k slider all the way to the top and play a short stab of sound, I can generate noisy feedback in the MuRF that slowly builds until the overload light turns red and the unit crunches out. It...

Home Made Vocoders.
[Robot Voice] I was eyeing up a project home made vocoder on ebay but the price got a bit strong for me: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310237555023 But I do quite fancy the idea of making a vocoder. I built a Paia vocoder a while back. It's a nice simple project and the re...
