Re: Voyager vs ms20?

I have, love and use them both. both essential machines for true synth connoiseurs. the two synths feature a very distinctive sound, their filters sound different and also their envelopes (much snappier on the voyager) and oscillators. I won't say they're going to overlap, though they share some com...

Re: 12v click triggering my OS envelopes??

ok, it makes sense to me. would there be a way in your opinion to shorten that 900ms time to something like a short trigger signal,
through some sort of control processor?with a CP-251 maybe?

Re: If you had to buy a Poly today?

as for wendy carlos statement: it might seem strange but I've heard many analog synth gurus (people who made the history of synthetic music like italian band Goblin, Easy going or Alexander Robotnick) getting tired or sick with the even sides of their beloved analog gear. what I mean is that after 2...

12v click triggering my OS envelopes??

hello forum people I'm running a 12v, 900 millisec output from the 'click' out on the back of my oberheim DX drum machine into the 'ENV gate' input of my OS voyager, to make a voyager arpeggio sequence in sync with the DX. to be exact I'm running the DX click output into a 'mult' on my VX-351 and th...

think about mr. steinway: he died long time ago but steinway piano factories keep on producing amazing musical instruments. the same goes for enzo ferrari and the current ferrari cars. well, for sure it would have been much better to have doc Bob Moog around for some more years. but great men are th...

my 5c opinion: do the trade and get an odissey close to your model D, provided that you live close to a trusted technician, because both old grandpas would probably be in need of periodic fixing and repairing to give you all that they can. if you feel uncomfortable with the voyager, good chances are...

If they want my dollars, then put in first class new material. Optional footage of recreating the sounds on the original synths. Open up the gear to look at the condition of the electonics. I would pay for that. But Handycam interviews, they didn't spend a lot of money in the first place. Sorry to ...

I played many times with the 'standard' Voyager and then I decided to buy and OS. after getting used to the OS, going back to the Voyager made me feel a bit uncomfortable to tell you the truth. really, it's just like someone having hacked a gameboy into the OS! :) seriously speaking I can feel the d...

Bach was rather unpopular in his time and his brothers were much more popular. ehm..during his lifespan bach worked as concertmaster at the court of weimar, kappelmeister at the court of coethen and kappelmeister in leipzig for 27 years, which means he was the most important musician in towns he li...

well, I tried before posting, but unfortunately it did not work. it seems that ms20 and voyager use different trig signals. if I connect the trig out from my ms20 to the voyager trig in and then I press a key on the ms20, the voyager envelope starts as soon as I depress the ms20 key. key pressed on ...

ouch, things really gets quite complicated! I think I'd better trust my ears and let my finger find the right knob position. in the meanwhile I found an alternative solution using my voyager OS and the VX-351: I send the lfo tri out of the voyager to the carrier in of the ring mod, bypassing the int...

using voyager OS envelopes on MS-20 - TRIG CONVERTER??

hello forum people I'd like to add some supersnappy voyager env to a bass patch on my korg MS20. would that be possible in your opinion? I'd like to trigger the voyager envelopes pressing a key on my ms20, but unfortunately MS20 outputs a 5v trig I think and the voyager requires an S-trig signal to ...
