Re: 904a and Minimoog filter.

The 904a and Minimoog filters are different and sound different. (I have both.) The "Mini sound" is partially due to oscillators overloading the mixer and then the filter input. The CP3 mixer in the modulars can overload, but it still doesn't sound the same. There are going to be subtle differences ...

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

If I had one wish for the One, it would be to increase the multitimbrel capability. I'll explain... I am a much better guitar player than I am a keyboard player. I've been playing guitar synths since the 70s. In fact, my Moog Model IIP was primarily used as a guitar synth using a 360 Systems Slavedr...

Mine does that too. I assume it's one of the tuning bugs.

Re: The "Sophie's Choice" of synthesizers.

I owned a modularized FVS1 that I was also the original owner (and modifier) of. It was a very early pre-programmer unit, so it had 2 mini-sequencers in the left hand bay. I kept getting crazy offers for it. My advice is: If you are a collector, and can afford to hold an appreciating asset (that may...

Re: Moog One FEATURE Requests

A sequencer randomization/probability function would be great! The Elektron Analog Rytm or Social Entropy Engine sequencers are good examples of what I mean.

Re: Possible Voice Assign Bug in 1.0.2

I chatted w/ Adam at Moog earlier today. They suggested I reinstall 1.0.2 which I did. Oddly, it hung up after power-cycling. I let it run for quite a while, but it stayed in display more. So I power cycled again and it came back up in 1.0.2 and everything now works properly. No idea what happened b...

Possible Voice Assign Bug in 1.0.2 (Fixed!)

Today, I updated to 1.0.2. I noticed that every 16th note didn't play. Tried a stacked patch. Every 8 notes was missing 1/2 its voices.
Rolled back to 1.0.1. Voice assigns all 16 voices.
I sent Moog tech support an e-mail. Anyone else have this issue?

LFO knob question

The lfo speed knob on my Model D is really loose. It's not loos in the panel, the knob itself is loose and it moves with just the slightest touch. It's not a deal breaker, but I'm wondering if anyone elses' is like this. Its still under warranty, but I'd probably just replace the pot myself rather t...

Re: Support

Among other studio instruments, I have a large (110sp) 5U system (inc: DotCom, STG, FSFX, Moon...), a new MiniMoog and - my pride and joy - an old Moog Model IIP. Yes, the new modulars are more romantic (or dare I say emotional) purchases, but denigrating DotCom is a mistake. Their modules are well ...

Re: New Model D ?

Hey there @luckynerd. Hope you are doing well! I think Kevin would have been tickled pink by the new/old D. I sold my last Model D in 83, but I have a new one on order to go along with it's (way) older bigger sister. They were supposed to ship last week, but the factory has delayed the shipments to ...

Re: Help with pitch patch

I haven't listened to Clockwork lately, but I've done lots of these types of patches over the years. The concept to understand is that there needs to be some randomness to the amount and time of the initial pitch imperfection. When a horn or sax player hits a note, it may be off just slightly and th...
