Re: My Chemical Romance and the Moog Voyager

I personally don't care for MCR, but I applaud any popular artist who tries to push boundaries with their sound. Hopefully they will put their Moog to good use.

Re: Moog MG-1 Rot

I'd heard a lot of the infamous foam rot on the MG-1s; nice to finally see a picture.

Re: Voyager - KARMA, "The Silent Way" and Beyond!

Voyager is an instrument designed for screaming leads and bass lines.......Go to YouTube and search on things like "Rick Wakeman Minimoog", or other veteran artists. I think quotes like this are limiting to the Moog as well. I think a lot of people have this misconception of the Moog as a...

Can anyone recommend a good compressor pedal to use with the Voyager?

I used to use an RE-20 space echo pedal, but I found it to be too muddy and colored the sound way too much. Using a Carbon Copy delay now & am much happier.

Hell, Bob made these things to be played, not sit in a house and be babied.
Amen, brother. I never truly appreciated my Voyager until the first time I played it on stage.

Seriously? So does your movie collection start in 2005 and consist of nothing but Blu Ray?

Just because something contains archival footage it doesn't mean it's "low quality".

I think the Voyager is a much more attractive instrument than the OS. The display and touch screen give it more symmetry.

But the same argument applies: how many revolutionary aesthetic transformations do you need to experience? Don't know, but I haven't had nearly enough. If you don't feel the same way, then you're really not interested in art as a means of intellectual/spiritual/emotional challenge. You're simply in...

My understanding is that any Voyager can be made identical at this point. Older Voyagers only have a single hardware bank for presets but can be upgraded to the seven bank setup for a few hundred bucks. Other than that, I'm pretty sure all other components are identical or close enough to identical ...
