Can the main panel of the Voyager be disconnected and used standalone?

As in, disconnected from the case & keys, and used as a desktop/expander type unit? Can't find the answer to this anywhere, no one seems to know. I have two Voyagers and use them in tandem quite a bit as a two-voice, for me this is a utility thing. I prefer the large panel to the idea of an RME,...

Re: What happened to OS 3.6

Apologies if the topic of OS 3.6 has been covered in detail...I did a search both in this forum and the wider web for what features were added or changes between 3.5 and 3.6 but was unable to find an answer the question. Could somebody kindly direct me to that info? Many thanks!

Re: What would you ask the Moog folks at NAMM

The obvious and most asked question of the last 10 years: when will Moog Music offer a modern polyphonic synth (À la Memorymoog) ? Same here! I Have two Voyagers and love them dearly, the modular community has all my love and respect but I don't own or use those instruments. +1 for the modern Memor...

Re: Changing the backlight EL panel

Greetings, Pete! Judging from the pics, if that's a maple wood body with Jade green lighting, then I'm afraid there is no 'better' color  only one you may like better personally. Goofing aside, I've got two Voyagers, a Maple Jade and one of the recent (blue) Aluminums and love the hell out of ...

Re: a new polyphonic Moog

megavoice clearly knows something we don't know...is Behringer re-making the Memorymoog? Korg, maybe? :D Actually, off/on-topic, who owns the intellectual property of the MM? Our current Moog Music, or somebody else?

Re: Moog Mother-32

Kind of a bummer, that only the Knobcon attendees got to see and hear this...what are we, chopped liver?! I guess the buzz about this being previewed today was a hoax? Man, I do hate this 'teaser' stuff with a passion. Some colleagues and I have been eyeing the Dark Time for a while, I realiz...

Re: what is this "CV" good for?

The CV on the P600 is meant for a control (volume-type, not momentary or switch) pedal that would allow you to sweep the filter hands-free.

Bump, +1. May we please have a modular forum? Would love a buy/sell forum also. I can see that the 500 series forum, is eating up a lot of resources...

Re: NAMM 2015

Absolutely the most stunning NAMM in years, for analog synth lovers, players, programmers and aficionados. Hats off to Moog (go Amos!), the NEW 'Sequential' (with a cheers to Yamaha for graciously relinquishing the name), Korg + ARP, Tom Oberheim, Roland (be great if that JD-XA contains some quality...

Loving reading about your experiences with the System 55, Dan - thanks! :D
I assume the 'Trent' you're referring to, is the former Senator from Mississippi?

Re: Favorite synth solos!!

I had to re-read this thread, to see if I had already posted to it in years past :) Since it's been resurrected…most of my personal faves have already been mentioned, but I'd add Eddie Jobson's Minimoog solo on "I Promise Not To Come In Your Mouth" (blame FZ for the title, not EJ or me…Edd...

If only this instrument was paraphonic, or made of aluminum! Do we know if it has the old sticker, or the new one?

Re: New Voyager's 'plastic sticker' is different from usual

My Aluminum Voyager has the 'Est. 2002' badge, my Select is 5 years old and has the Voyager logo badge with the little 'Saturn', in the same location over the keyboard.
