Hey folks, I could use a hand. I'm incorporating the MP-201 into a studio/touring guitar rig, like this:

- MP-201 is always in Quad mode; using Tech 21 MIDI Mouse to switch presets. (Cool idea right?)
- MIDI Mouse is connected to MP-201 MIDI In.
- MP-201 MIDI Out goes to signal router - Sound ...

Keep hope alive...

(1.) Give him the SysEx
(2.) Crowd-fund this thing
(3.) Some other solution!

There's still nothing else on the market that does what the MP-201 can do. So this forum is the only place where we can push it forward.

I'm using a Tech 21 MIDI Mouse to change presets on my MP-201. The reason is that I want to leave the MP in Quad Mode all the time and not have to go back to Single just for preset switching.

Anyway, it's not working. Both units are set to MIDI channel 1, the MIDI light on the MP shows activity ...

Can you copy what's loaded into one 'channel' (i.e. cc#, MIDI channel, channel name) to another, in another preset, or do you have to copy the whole preset itself?

Also... What is the difference between a 'panel' and a 'preset'?

Update: My Switchblade came in, and the MP seems to be the perfect match for it. I'm controlling gains on the various ins & outs, fading between sounds (instead of 'switching') and generally having a blast configuring my rig. So far so good...

I'll add to the chorus here. Can't wait to see v.3!

MONO/POLY Expression tweaks:
(1.) 'Relative' setting in mono mode, so that when you switch back and forth between expression channels, it doesn't 'jump' to wherever the pedal is currently set. Instead, no MIDI or CV is sent until the pedal sweeps ...

Akai APC40 here. Still in the early learning stages though.

I set up three tracks with a looper each, connecting one switch on the MP-201(Quad mode) to the multi-function button of each looper. Then I recorded a loop on each one, trying to use the mouse as little as humanly possible. (You do have to arm each track for recording.) When the loops were done, I ...

Any of you guys having success with this combo?

I'm using the MP-201 with Live's 'Loopr' feature and it Doth Rock.
