Re: How to sync LFO cycle to "note on"

This is the most common way around.
Using Ableton Live (or your DAW of choice) to sync the Phatty via MIDI/USB cable will re-trigger the LFO start point, for instance when recording a sequence.

Re: delay for LP?

MXR Carbon Copy
Malekko Ekko 616
Diamond Memory Lane
Retro-Sonic Analog Delay
and of course the venerable Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man

can't really recommend the Way Huge Aqua Puss
the price isn't really viable when you take into consideration the delay time

Re: new phatty owner...of course not everything is working :

I know this might seem like a really obvious answer to one of your problems but have you tried moving the mod wheel?
the modulation matrix and subsequently the LFO are connected to this control.

Re: Light weight plastic version of Little Phatty Stage?

I feel like I'm breaking my back every time I take it with me (which is quite often). Really? I don't think it's very heavy at all. And I'm not ripped by any means. OK, it's not DSI MEK light, but it's not like a Vox AC-30 I once owned. Lugging that around was a bitch. Try carrying the guitarist/ba...

Re: Should Roland and Korg get back in the analog market?

I for one would like to see Korg and Roland come out with some real analogue products and go back to their roots. But with limited market appeal and digital synthesis being significantly cheaper to manufacture I don't see that coming down the road anytime soon. They have released the Monotron and SH...

Re: Moog Taurus 3 Demonstration Record #1

If they made another version I'd still be routing for pedals.
I want an instrument, not something collecting dust in my studio.

that recording was really good Amos!

Re: little phatty stage II vs minimoog v

#3: You shouldn't ever pay for a software synthesizer, since there are so many freeware synths out there. Do a little digging and you'll find plenty of really, really great sounding software synths for free! I think the Fabfilter Twin 2 is worth shelling out for. Not only is it one of the most anal...

Re: little phatty stage II vs minimoog v

well, it doesn't have polyphony for a start
so those strings and brass sounds are going to be limited

but the real thing is always better hands down

Amos, as you seem quite adept with Live, I have a question for you: how do I automate the LFO rate of the LP in Ableton? I know you can select a bank, sub bank and program number in MIDI clips but don't fully understand what to do I need to change the LFO rate in steps ideally as well this is to cre...

I'm not a 100% sure I understand what you're trying to achieve either but I will explain what I do in Ableton very basically: first you have to create a new MIDI clip then in the audio effects section below, you need to drop the "External Instrument" effect which can be found in the MIDI e...

I would like to see something that hasn't been done before. I want something innovative like the new controller, Moog guitar, or MF107. Blow us away with your imagination. Give us another way to approach music. There's already enough polysynths, drum machines, and modular gear out there. Continue t...
