Re: Moog Liberation Owners Manual (Original? by Rock Wehrman

The guitar stand is an Ultra (brand) acoustic guitar stand, with quick lock system. Made of heavy gauge steel, it is VERY sturdy and padded with foam where the back of the Liberation rests. It doesn't sweat with a Liberation on it. Made in China, marketed worldwide, you should not have problem findi...

Re: Who says synths can't be heavy ?

Nice job Alain, this one is much to my liking. It's not that my palette of sounds resembles a sledgehammer, actually it's quite varied. Funny that you pick today to get on the heavier side, the same day I choose to power up some vintage units and fill their caps with overdue electrons. A couple of M...

Re: Moog Liberation Owners Manual (Original? by Rock Wehrman

That's a hard document to find indeed but guess what, I opened the case of Liberation #2, which I never used but remembered was quite complete and lo! and behold!, there it was, the original Owners Manual (missing the cover page), in a bit of a sorry shape. Given my crappy scanner and the warped sta...

Re: MIDI Controller for Taurus 3

A controller with Merge output (such as the Behringer BCR 2000) would work in theory, but with software such as Ableton and the rest, differences in implementation between devices, and all sorts of other issues, you might bite into something harder than you can chew. The best solution in my opinion ...

Re: Just Bought CP-251 from E-Bay. Working?

Yes, polarity came to my mind... the guitar world is all negative center tap while the fooger world is positive center tap, but you said your DC adapter was up to spec. I sometimes use "guitar" dc power supplies. No big deal, cut the wire and splice it reversed or use reversible connectors...

Re: Just Bought CP-251 from E-Bay. Working?

What Alien8 said. Although very unlikely that only the LFO section would not work (or a bad LED), you can insert a TRS (stereo) patch cable in any of the jacks with a white ring around them and measure voltage between the ring and the sleeve. It should read 5.6 (or just about) volts. It it does not ...

Soldering iron in the waiting

No, my Werkstatt's have not arrived yet, They are on order (2). I can't wait. It's like an experimenter's dream floating high in the sky for now ... but soon. Looking at it, specs and videos, it looks all complete, not much left to be desired... maybe a more ADSR type of enveloppe would be nice, but...

Re: Taurus II Foot Controller Question

It looks to me like a contact problem. There is no circuitry inside the pedal board itself, only contacts and a resistor array. The fact that that your pedal triggers a note means that the ground, 12v supply and trigger are ok. Keyboard trim should be no issue. That leaves only the CV line. I would ...

Re: Anyone else ever come to the slow realization...

A friend of mine is looking for his ultimate delay unit, which has to be BBD ans tap-tempo'ed. It seems this one could do the job... I think so too. To be fair, I have not played (or seen for that matter) most of the units mentioned here but based on the sound bites on YT, it seems to stand near th...

Re: Anyone else ever come to the slow realization...

Yeah sure... Finding the 104 a bit dark at times (the way I use it), I started to look around, almost decided for a Carbon Copy but the ES2 came along. Almost a fooger with the same body shape, knobs, full analog path and modulation for less than $150. How could one resist? I had to wait a few month...

Re: Anyone else ever come to the slow realization...

Like them yes, obsessed no. I have seen my GAS syndrome diminished over the last year. Besides my Lexicon MX-200 delays, which sounds good, but that I don't like to use much for delays because of the interface, I rely on a pair of MF-104m's and an Ibanez ES2 echo shifter. I really like the Ibanez, i...

Re: My New 1130 Percussion Controller...

Nice. Is it powered from the accessory port of the Minimoog? I am sure you know that but for anyone interested in the topic : you can get more dynamics from the 1130 if powered from the Sonix 6 or from an old style modular power supply (-15, +15 volts). I built a custom PS for my 1130's. Makes a who...
