Re: New Firmware v3.1 for Slim Phatty, LP Stage and Tribute
Hi all, so I'd updated my LP SII with the beta os3.1 & all I've tried so far seems to work as expected, but now I've since downloaded the final version on the Moog front page & when I try following the same steps of updating my LP (thinking it will overwrite the beta version) nothing happens...

Re: Gil Scott-Heron
I must be honest, I never really checked on his music until recently, more so probably because the friend I was speaking of was his neighbor in NY as a young kid & told me he used to go to his house to just chill & be in awe & humbled to just be in the man's presence. The human element o...

Re: let's drink to the hard working people, Amos
I'll send a shout out to the Moog team and Amos from Johannesburg by pressing the lowest note on patch "LAMBSBREAD". Of course we know you can't hear this note but I think they'll all feel it. Here we go: (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((PATCH#05))))))))))))))))))))))...

Re: What inspired your interest in Moog?
Seeing the MiniMoog in Portishead's Live in Roseland NYC tape. (keep in mind I said "Seeing"). Then realizing it was Moogs all over the 90s West Coast rap tunes that I listen to. Then seeing the LP in a music store in Cape Town and thought: Oh SNAP CRACKLE POP. A MOOG? Money, Buy. Now I sl...

Re: Gil Scott-Heron
A friend posted one of his live videos on twitter the day after he passed and after the "oh man, he's gone?" I saw the MiniMoog & him playing his Rhodes and felt "oh man" The man in the music lives. RIP.

Thanks, EricK. Thank you community for the check out.EricK wrote:I dig the hell out of that.
So apart from that MJ craze you have there EricK I noticed you also have the Moog/Rhodes 73 combo. That is a dream team set up as far as I'm ever concerned.

So I've had this thing for about 3 years now and I don't need to tell any of you how it feels to own one, what i can say is that you can now listen to two songs I'm most proud of making using the Moog LP. Go to there > http://johnnycradle.bandcamp.com/

make a note of your favorite patches from each bank, as you try them... Then when you pick your "favorite bank" you can replace your less-favorite individual patches in that bank, with your preferred patches from the other banks. You can do this using the individual preset files as I desc...

Mine did the same thing. The hardest thing was turning the screwdriver. Moog sent me a little manual thing for the replacement.

Re: Midi played back by Phatty - how to make Phatty control
If you are able to play back the midi and can hear it out your LP to your speakers, then you simply set up an Audio channel and arm it for recording as normal with the Audio-in input set on whatever channel Live normally records your audio from. I do this in Logic and i think I've done it the same w...

Re: Optimal connection between LP and DAW?
Hi. I also connect my LP through an interface (a Line6 thing, though) with a plug-in into my DAW and I also noticed the difference in the level of signal. My workaround this is to disable whatever software-preamps/effects on the interface plugin and send the dry signal onto your DAW. I did also noti...

Re: little phatty stage II vs minimoog v
You can do a lot more with a Mini V, but what the phatty can do, it does it so much better. The Phatty always stands out in a mix, it's got a sound that just cannot be touched by software or VA. I think if someone asks: "what do you mean by making a sound stand out in a mix?" the reply sh...
