Re: Moog Voyager or Upgrade SE-1 to SE-1X?

Thanks for the response.

The Little Phatty has been out for a while. I have an original (albeit somewhat modified) Stage I that I bought new in 2007. It does bass very well, and also is great for searing leads. The keyboard action has been updated since the Stage I, and the latest models are a ...

Re: Moog Voyager or Upgrade SE-1 to SE-1X?

This was really strange. I'm doing a search on the web for Voyager vs SE-1X to get current comments, and I came across this thread. I'm reading it and thinking, wow this is exactly what I was looking for. I start reading the thread and realize I'm the one who started the thread 2 years ago!

I still ...

Has anyone used a Moogerfooger MF-101 with a SE-1 or SE-1X?

Just wondering how it sounds.... and whether or not it's just overkill.

Thanks, that's great to hear? How do they sound? I have a Matrix-6 years ago. Just looking for an alternate and less expensive option for Oberheim sounds.

Honestly, I do not use them much now. I am trying to get them re-integrated into my system. I have spent the last few months bonding with my ...

Has anyone has any experience with the Oberheim Matrix-1000? According to the manual, if you have two units, they can be grouped together which expands the voices to 12.

I have 2 Matrix 1000's and I use them chained together to get 12 voices. Works pretty well. You just MIDI the boxes together ...

I own a Polysix, and it is wonderful!! Very John Carpenter like. I would say go for that, it´s called the poor mans Prophet 5. I think I head somewhere that the Juno 106 isn´t completly analog, but the Polysix is. Theres the battery issue, but that can be removed with a new one. I think it sounds ...

But they are darn right helpful but i haven't had ANY negative experiences from them and Ive only ordered 3 foogers from them so they shipped out great products.

I've had ok experiences with them too, until the last year. They will not rip me off again. I was sent 3 busted Ion's. The last one I ...

Not yet, all the Nords I have tried have sounded nice though. For example the Nord Stage does what it does very well, but a little pricey. Nord makes good products. For me the Nord synths have sounded good, have an analog sound to them but with digital over tones. Nothing wrong with that :).

Do ...

The Nord and the Prophet are different instruments that will do a lot of the same sounds but also a lot of different sounds. The ...

[any work done! I wish this was easier, so I could get this out the way and get back to create and playing music!

It is a hard choice but no reason to stress over it. Do you have a store that will let you rent or try an instrument out for a few days. I know I am pushing the Prophet, but give ...

I just remembered that I had a Juno-60 a long time ago.... probably at least 15 years ago.... I thought it was cool then. I think the Juno-60 was the previous model. It seems that the Juno 6 maybe better than the Juno 106, but hard to tell.... maybe pretty much the same.

The 106 was the ...

Thanks for the specs.... I keep hearing that their is a big learning curve with the Andromeda.... May not have been mentioned on this thread, but I read about it. It's my understanding that you may have to access several menus (and submenus) to change certain parameters. I'm looking for something ...

Not to go backwards a bit, but has anyone heard the Juno 106 synth? If so, what kind of sounds can it make? It is worth looking at for about $400? I looked it up on Vintagesynth.com, and it's 6 voices with midi.

:) It came up a few pages ago :). It will do some nice pads and punchy bass lines ...
