Re: LP and Dave Smith Mopho

I have found the Mopho to be a very nice companion for the Little Phatty. I find the Little Phatty perfect for nice, buzzy sawtooth wave goodness. For the ole' Prophet-type oscillator sync sounds, the Mopho kicks butt. Sometimes I just like to stack them up: sawtooth on the LP and square wave on the...

Now that I've started using the Alesis MultiMix 8 Line, I certainly recommend it. Nice and quiet and a huge improvement over the Behringer line mixer I got rid of and the ART that I've been using since.

A four-voice Little Phatty exander. Parameters on the expander will mirror those of the Phatty. For example: call up preset # 63 on Stage II and you have a five-voice Posh Moog patch.

I've been using a little ART 4-channel mono mixer that replaced a Behringer RM 1602. The Behrenger was nothing but trouble; the infamous "cold solders".The ART has worked well, but I've juse ordered an Alesis MultiMix Line 8. We'll see how that works.

Does the temperature in the room where you keep the Phatty fluctuate? Also, do you let the Phatty warm up for a few mintues before playing?

I contacted SF Marketing, the Moog distributor in Canada. I was informed that Moog was awaiting parts and I should expect a Late April or Early May shipping date.

You can add some swooshing by assigning mod wheel to wave. Use an expression pedal to control filter cutoff by plugging it into the cv in filter jack, for some swelling goodness. You got feet, use 'em!

I don't know exactly... I know that some parts are on back-order to us, so we can't build them yet. I will try to find out some more info. I did see where we are sending a postcard to everyone who is waiting for a CP-251, to apologise and perhaps give more info to you all individually. Cheers, Amos...

What is the temperature in the room where you have your LP? If it's quite cool it may affect tuning.

Ambient temperature

Hello All: The temperature in my music room fluctuates from warm (when in use) to quite cool (when not in use). I find if I turn up the heat and fire up the Phatty a little while before playing tuning is not a problem. My question: will this fluctuating temperature in any way damage the Phatty? Chee...
