Hey mate, ( Not Australian) thanks for your wisdom, I get to keep my gear, I just could not make up my mind, and your message just put it there for me. There just isn't a rule that says you get wiser as you get older, you can be dumb or wise no matter what age you are. Your words also inspire...

Moog "thing"

sorry for getting off topic but this reminded me of something I was reading about fischerspooners new album. When they recorded the soft synths they ran them out to an old fender bass and marshall full stack and mic'd the cabs Take that speaker emulation! Back on topic: moog guitar is amazing No ap...

An extension of the moog guitar.

Awesome take on the whole thing. I personally don't like soft synths. Can't stand the darn things. It's like the difference between Wii bowling and wood lane, 16 pound ball bowling. And while not knowing how to read music can be limiting because there are some pieces I'd love to play, I feel libera...

I agree that a one note Moog makes the most powerful note available at any price range. And with some 'Foogers thrown in, the note gets bigger and bigger! A Moog guitar would be nice to have, but not $6500 worth of nice. As I said, lacking guitar skills. I'd rather have a Voyager OS and Select maho...

Moog Guitar

Sorry man it's like the synth, you still have to play it. Once upon a time about a lifetime ago, I was a f ll time Rock star wannabe, we did OK, but no one in the US or for that matter in the south of England ever heard of us. It was fun. it was a total burn out and looking back at what happened to ...

~There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "insanity"~ Well there you go, proof at last, I am insane, thanks mate appreciate knowing. :? Now putting my excess gear in storage is a brilliant idea, and we could put a bunch of other stuff there we don't need right now as well. ...

Keep your gear

Voltor I wouldn't sell mine if I could afford to buy one in the first place. I'm a strong believer in keeping gear. Main I sure wish I could give you one, these are definitely worth checking out. As for keeping gear, well I would have no space for any new stuff if I did that, but guitars are specia...

Stuartpa, how are the mediums working out for you,did you notice any change in the Vo power? HI Gamaliel, I had some issues with my Moog once I got over the initial buzz of it, and it ended up being replaced. I guess I was unlucky but like you even on my replacement the mode toggle switch falls off ...

Lets see...if 350 Vo guitars are sold at $6495, that would mean they could easily price a "stage edition" around $2000...or roughly the cost of a Rickenbaker. Cool! Of course, the Vo edition will be worth around fifteen thousand a month after they quit producing them... After all...

CV control

Now that I have the Moog guitar, and so far the Mooger fooger and the analog Delay, I was wondering what I should add to the system, as apart from using a TC electronics Gsystem for some things, I would like to have a totally Moog based system. What I was wondering is does anybody have any ideas abo...

Stuartpa, many thanks for the info,I had figured that the high e might need a lil more Vo power, and it sure does have enough to spare. It also has me exploring different techniques.I've never been much into tapping or using the whammy bar that much, but I find myself doing it alot more now.Specially t...

Medium Strings

Stuartpa, how are the mediums working out for you,did you notice any change in the Vo power? Hi Gamaliel, they are a lot better for my playing style, I really hate tearing my fingernails out on Heavies. Depending on how you have the guitar setup, will depend on whether or not you notice any real dif...

Agreed

Lou Reed sucks. Sorry, just saw him live at MIM and he sucked really bad. I tried really hard to appreciate it but jeez, lodged in between buddy guy and Santana he was really lacking. ROb Wasserman is always good on bass though. Eric Yup it is pretty bad when you lay out 6K and they did not even pu...

Congratulations mate, I sure hope you feel that way about it I do.

I put the Mooger Fooger on it yesterday and it is a totally amazing system, especially for finger-picking. It's pretty hot for regular picking as well.
