Re: Polyphonic Moog Feature Request

The Tetra IS cool and lets you do a lot of cool modulation routings and stuff, plus good sync, sequencing, feedback, and the audio mod. You can do a lot with one of those. But they aren't as crazy as the Moog stuff, especially once you interface a Voyager with a couple of 'foogers and some CP-251's ...

Re: About as far away from a Moog as you can get

When I first saw it online, I was hoping they'd at least do 1/4" ins and outs, and maybe a midi in. It'd be a much better value to be able to patch it in easily without clunky 1/8" to 1/4" adaptors. And at least to be able to trigger it via midi. Still, I'm always glad to see more ana...

Re: Museum of Making Music Celebrates Moog...

I can certainly see it being too expensive, but i think it would be beside the point to worry about proper orientation. I think it would be great to have just to be able to bring in some random behaviour to one's playing. Even just front/back orientation would be cool. Assign one axis to filter cuto...

Re: Post Your Taurus III Serial Number

Number 0218 is home. I can't imagine the Taurus sounds translating well to being sampled. You'd have to have some really high end D/A converters to hope to capture what I hear in my studio when I hit the low C on my T3's. I don't think the Fantom XR could do them justice (if that's what they're usin...

Re: Constellation?

It also strikes fear and dread in many a repair technicians. Polymoogs and CS-80s are a bastard to maintain.

I liked my Polymoog... don't forget the poly-pedal! We have a pretty awesome modern day equivalent in the MP-201 I'd say.

Re: What Polymoog to Buy?

Hey Ben,

You might want to check out Synthpro's Polymoog Keyboard videos. He's been reviving them himself, and mentioned using some new parts that were considerably cheaper and easier to source. Plus, I think they're just plain cool sounding and informative.

Re: Polyphonic Moog Feature Request

Even if it was the size of a Polymoog, I'd be down with that. I might not take it on gigs, but it'd be a lot of fun to have in the studio!!

BTW, congrats on finally getting your T3's!! They're pretty amazing, aren't they?

Re: Polyphonic Moog Feature Request

The Prophet and the Tetra are both SERIOUS instruments that sound great. I think the Tetra in particular is an exceptional value. If I were going to edit on it, I'd want either the editor, or a P'08 to edit via poly chain. In any case, they're great, and I think they represent excellent value for th...

I thought Solar CV as well, but the ARP looks like a good candidate as well.

Props to CZ Rider for noticing that one! :)

BTW, I love the new look and functionality of the site.

My first time hearing Taurus pedals live was on Friday morning, March 26th, 2010, in my home studio. I turned them on after yanking them out of the box, turned them off, turned off the lights and turned the T3 on again because it looked so cool. I turned on the lights and hit a low C. Things started...

I wanted to be the first Canadian T3 owner that registered. I THINK I am... myself and a2dconverter got ours the same day.

Congrats miamigroove, I'm around the block from you at # 218. They're pretty amazing, aren't they? I haven't noticed any problems with mine, but I've only had a little while to mess with it. The preliminary report is HOLY SH*T FREAKING AWESOME!! but if I find any issues, I'll send a message to Amos.
