Re: NAMM impressions
Has anyone here played the OB-6 yet? I'm thinking it would pair perfectly with the Taurus-3.

Re: Taurus 1 Pedals/Contacts- Original vs. Modified
Either live or in the studio, it's a horrible feeling to step on your Taurus & have no note - or worse, the wrong note - come out. Ditch the antiquated wire contacts for the microswitch upgrade, & play those Taurus! As others here have pointed out, there were built to be played . As I stated...

Re: What comes with a new Taurus 3? ~ ♥ LOVE ƒor T3 ♥
I don't understand how anyone could let a scratch like that happen to their T3. Even my own doesn't have a major scratch like that, and I left it in the hands of UPS...TWICE! The case is beat to hell, but the Taurus itself has a very minor scratch on the wood panel, not nearly as bad as thi...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
No new synth-related purchases since my Taurus 3 pedals, but I did just buy a new USA Spector NS-4 that I'm pretty stoked about... Woa man! Gorgeous collection. Ive been dying to try out some Spectors. Are there any local dealers? Thanks! No Spector dealers in Denver unfortunately. I purcha...

Re: Post your latest purchase!!
Oh that is too nice! Quilted Maple? Thanks! Yes Sir, solid quilted maple wings, with a 3-piece maple neck that runs through the body. It absolutely nails the Queensryche/ Alice in Chains bass tones, and even though it weighs almost 10 lbs, it is extremely well balanced & comfortable to play for...

Re: Minituar
As for my post above, I've been thinking more about this, and I'm now thinking I will buy a Minitaur. The T-3 does indeed do everything I want a Taurus to do, but it is also one of the heaviest & most akward-to-handle pieces of gear I've ever owned (my old Ampeg SVT stack takes top honors in tha...

Actually, I think it's as simple (and cheap) as adding one of these.. http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&cp=14&gs_id=1v&xhr=t&q=midi+bass+guitar&pq=midi+bass+gui&gs_upl=&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1600&bih=774&wrapid=tljp132611741121120&um...

Re: bass guitar plug into T3?
newbie question: can a bass guitar be plugged directly into the T3 to generate sounds that get colored by the T3, rather than using the pedals? If not what kind of interface device would allow this? If you have a Roland MIDI pickup installed on your bass, you could potentially play any synthesizer ...

Re: Minituar
I (like the rest of the T3 owners) received my moog emailing today and it mentions their new Minituar. I can't tell if this is to be used in conjunction with the T3 or instead of. Any insight??? Take your pick - either would work. For those who can't afford the full set of Taurus pedals, already ha...

Re: Moog to Debut new instrument NAMM 2012
I could be wrong, but I just don't think there's a big enough market to justify building a RME Taurus. I also don't think Moog would do another mono synth, and a modular would most likely be cost-prohibitive to build (and costly to buy), so I'm betting it's a 4-voice poly synth, based on the Taurus....

Re: T1's Lamps don't really do
Sounds like the indicator LEDs are burned out. A fairly simple procedure to replace them (if you're handy with a soldering iron), and the sticky stuff is the glue for the panel transparancy starting to decompose & ooze out. This ooze can be rermoved with elbow grease, a terry cloth towel & s...

Re: Filter Sweep sound
Yes, on Taurusbass.com. Go to the Owner"s Gallery, then go to Images, and it will be the 2nd picture posted by superd2112. It depicts a chart with all the synth parameters - simply adjust as shown. You will need to run this particular patch through a delay & chorus to get the exact "To...

Re: Filter Sweep sound
I posted a few patches under the pictures section on the T-3 website, and my "Tom Sawyer" patch sounds very close to this, with a slightly higher "emphasis" setting. Program & run my patch through a delay pedal & a chorus pedal and presto - you have the Oberheim sweep sou...

I play mine through an SWR Headlite (400 watts) driving a single 15" JBL speaker in a Sonic tuned & ported cab - sounds fantastic!
