Re: Learning bass?

How about these for inspiration?
You can apply their approach of the instrument to your own stuff.

Re: New SP owner

Hi I'm a guitarist myself and bought a Phatty for -more or less - the same reasons as you and have never regretted it one second. :D As for your questions: -you can use the calibration patch as a starting point; everything's set up pretty neutral, only one osc., filter fully open, etc., just check t...

Shame on the wiggas!
Very nice balance between the tone of your voice and the bass, they complement each other well in this track.

Re: Synthesis Lesson

I 'd also mention that there are different types of synthesis, and that a lot of the newer synths available in stores use different methods (samples, etc)This is very important because if they get interested and go out and buy a synth but not get the same sound as yours, they might get disappointed.

Anybody know of a stomp box or processor that can make my guitar sound like a Moog synth or a clavichord?
Electro Harmonix' Micro Synth is pretty nice IMO. Definitely worth checking out.
EHX HOG and POG could also be interesting. Of course there's no comparison to the real thing..
