Re: How to make a pad sound

I already know that I have three oscs, and I also tried to play chords this way, but i find it really hard to always have my left hand on the second oscillator's frequency knob, just to change between major and minor chords. But i have to admit that at least my bandmates had a lot of fun watching m...

Re: How to make a pad sound

I know the voyager is not the perfect solution for pad sounds because it's monophonic. Thanks to modern recording techniques this is not a hindrance, you can record the first note of a chord, then the second note on a different track and so on. But i must admit that i couldn't manage to get a sweet...

FT: Voyager Old School with CP-251 and VX-351

I'm looking to trade only. I've got a barely used Minimoog Voyager Old School with CP-251 controller and VX-351 CV expander. The CP-251 has never been used. I have all original packaging and manuals for everything. I don't know if it's transferable or not, but there's also still an option to extend ...

late 60's Vox Continental patch (or reasonable facsimile)

Hey guys, I have an Old School and I'm recording some late 60's covers and would like to get a good Vox Continental patch just for simple single note pads. I don't have a good point of reference as I don't own a Continental. Anyone have an idea of where to start with a patch? I'm not sure what the o...

Hmm... Well the first one I initially got had no sticker applied; the sticker was "new" and inside the packaging for the user to stick wherever they wanted. The second one I got didn't come with any new sticker, and the sticker that was already on the unit looked like it was haphazardly ap...

Yeah it was a bummer... I don't remember my serial # off-hand, I think it was 160-something. Heh, I thought I had posted in under the OS serial number thread but I don't see it.

My Old School was less than perfect when I received it, brand new. Four adjacent keys (I can't remember which ones) made a loud clacking sound and you could feel them hitting the metal part of the chassis when you played them. The aftertouch on the last two keys barely did anything and the legato mo...

Hmm... I always thought that among anyone musically inclined "Moog" was a somewhat popular name. I've been a guitar player long before I'd ever dream of touching a keyboard and I'd heard of them and knew what they were. My wife even asked me at some point out of the blue, this was before I...

Thanks for the reply EricK. Sorry I'm relatively new to forums so I don't know how to properly paste your previous comments so I can "respond" to them. Hopefully the context will make it clear. I'll have to disagree with any increase in desirability or price on ebay. I just don't see it ha...

They might have done a run of 1000, but how many do you really think are out there? My guess is that number is more like 300. Does anyone have a serial number higher than this? I got two of them from musician's friend in December and they were both in the 200's. If they're going to make another 200 ...

Well that's cool that they'll send you replacement parts like that to install yourself rather than require you to send the entire unit in for the repair on a simple soldering job.

Thanks for the welcome and response Eric. I sent it back today. Within 24hrs of my original posting the Multi Trigger function also stopped working. The unit was a dud so I sent it back for a replacement. Bummer I won't get it for the next 12 days or so. Are there frequent issues with the keyboards ...

Keyboard issues on a new Voyager Old School

Hi guys, I'm brand new to this list and I just received my new Voyager Old School yesterday and I've found 2 issues so far... After about a 1/2 hour of playing I found that the leftmost A#, B, C, and C# keys make a lot of mechanical noise when pressed, the A# and C in particular sound like they're s...
