Moog E1-M for sale in Portland, OR

Since getting way off into the Vo-96, I've decided it's time to turn the Moog Guitar into cash. Which I need. This is a hard-tail model, with MIDI (13-pin) output and a bunch of extras! (I stocked up a bit when Moog discontinued the model, for future-proofing) - Two footpedals, power supplies and ca...

Re: Filter/Buffer on GK ouptut improvement?

Thanks for the tip! I purchased one of the units, and it does appear to track better and generally improve the performance of the Vo, at least into a GP-10.
I can recommend it.

Re: Midi Upgrade question

No, the MIDI addition does not give you the mag pickup output. Apparently there is no way to tap into the magnetic pickups output, perhaps because the audio is going to the footpedal. Instead, you get a mix of the piezo signal on that wire. So for example on the VG-99, when you fade in the guitar's ...

Re: Best cities for electronic music and art

Portland, Oregon seems to be heating up. Several makers have moved here recently, a very nice shop (Control Voltage) some live things going on.

Re: Modular vs. Semi-Modular

PS: TOMMY I just remembered - I wanted to ask you what about that vast array of old school Oscilloscopes in the Golden Voyager photo at the "Switched-On" site (i think that is where I saw it) — is it your own collection? even after I get an O'TOOL in my rack, I would still like to pick up...

Re: Suggestions for the next generation of the Moog Guitar

I am planning a solid-body guitar. But, it will use piezo pickups, with a 13-pin out. Expecting a technology created in the 1930's, based on magnetism to work well with the Vo tech, which uses large amounts of magnetic energy is a fool's errand, IMHO. That's the issue with the Moog guitar. After ban...

Re: Suggestions for the next generation of the Moog Guitar

Bigsby option. Budget model, sub $2k (sub$1.5k even better). Oil finish. Or, sell the electronics as a kit for folks to rev up their own custom guitars. If you want a kit to build your own, Paul Vo still has the some of the Lev-96 packages available, maybe. That what I'm doing. I have a luthier, ju...

Re: Can a CP-251 control a VCA input on my dynamics processo

The CP-251 doesn't really do much on it's own, it's a mixer/attenuator/bunch of stuff for processing CV. You need something to generate the CV. If you have something creating CV, the CP-251 is excellent for adapting to different gear, as it allows you to scale and attenuate CV voltages. It can gener...

Re: Suggestions for the next generation of the Moog Guitar

Is there any indication that Moog has any interest in an E2? It appears Mr. Vo has moved on, his next project finished Kickstarter funding already.

Re: EHX 8 Step

Has anyone seen a spec for the max voltage level of the CV out? The Ehx manual lacks that detail. For the price, looks very interesting, but depends a bit on the actual CV voltage produced. 0-5V? 0-10V? +/- 6.2 V ??

Re: Modular vs. Semi-Modular

The Stilton Adapter is for getting stuff into/outof Eurorack. It does not replace your Fireface. It's sort of a send/return setup for a modular.
