they don't cost that much...get both types and see if you can tell a difference in sound/performance. but i wouldn't go less than 250V rating...ever see a capacitor explode? it makes a mess.

Re: Satin or Semi Gloss Finish for Minimoog????

i have 2 model D's...1974 is light-stained, 1978 is dark-stained....neither has much of a shine. but i think i'd pick semi-gloss over satin...you can dull it down with extra fine steel wool or a scotch brite pad if you need to. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/hs041.snc6/167175_1610624106...

Re: Moog MG-1 Rot

years ago, i cleaned up the innards of an Opus 3 that had the foam goo sludge problem. I think i used rubbing alcohol to disolve the residue...or maybe lighter fluid

Re: Voyager Old School cabinet hardwood type?

"The OS is sold with only one wood panelling option, "traditional ash". However, a few limited edition models were housed in white wash cabinets."

Re: Broke MF103 Potentiometer - Please advice

you should contact moog tech support....they probably can sell you a replacement. finding one off the shelf, with the correct resistance value and taper, 'D' shaft and PC-mount lug spacing is going to be tough.

Re: Moog Prodigy Issue

a pot is a variable resistor....the mechanism which causes the variation may be broken, leaving the pot functioning more like a fixed-value resistor. if this were the sutuation, the modulation circuit would function, but you'd lose the ability to alter the amount of modulation

Re: Moog Prodigy Issue

i would leave the wheel alone....check the pot, making sure there are 3 wires coming from it, and that the plug those wires connect to is securely connected to the main PCB. if you have a meter, check the pot (10k) to make sure it's still working... http://www.hylander.com/images/schematics/moog/Moo...
