Re: Keith Emerson death
He also piqued my interest in synthesizers many, many moons ago. According to an article on the Daily Mail website, TMZ had reported that ". . . Emerson had 'recently' been suffering from depression and a degenerative nerve issue that hampered his keyboard playing capabilities." http://www...

Re: Coming back... 3k for a new select series?
LEDs dim slowly over time, losing 30% of their light output within the first third of their estimated lifespan. The amount of time before they reach that point is known as their L70 rating, and can range anywhere from 50,000 hrs. to 100,000 hrs., depending on the design of the circuit they're in, an...

Re: How to fix a key on a Voyager (OS)
If you could find the missing piece, perhaps you could just glue it back onto the key assembly?

Re: MP201 V3
I would be interested to know that as well. I just got my MP-201 and it has firmware 2.0 I didn't know there was a 2.1 released. I can't seem to find it online. Installer for Win: http://www.moogmusic.com/sites/default/files/MP201_v2_1_Update_WIN.zip Installer for Mac: http://www.moogmusic.com/site...

Re: Confirmed - Sweetwater DOES have MF-104Ms for Sale
Really good points guys. The only thing that I think might present a hurdle is that the MN3005 requires 15v whereas the MN3008 require 12v. Correct me if I"m wrong about that. Seems like an easy enough issue for Moog to fix . . . as long as they don't go back to the classic "daughterboard...

Re: Confirmed - Sweetwater DOES have MF-104Ms for Sale
So, does that mean that replacing the MN3008 with the MN3005 will not affect the darker sound characteristic of the long delay range setting?willi wrote:Long or short time setting affects the tone because of the clock rate and resulting nyquist frequency related roll off.

Re: MP201 V3
Did the Ver. 2.1 firmware update released in Oct., 2011 at least restore the triplets that were removed by the Ver. 2.0 upgrade?

Re: Confirmed - Sweetwater DOES have MF-104Ms for Sale
...We've been talking about it in the other thread. Howard Davis is developing new Panasonic BBD Clones that are the most precise replicas yet. If Moog decides the implement them we might be able to get delays with even longer time on the dial . . .almost into looping territory which is cool! Pleas...

Re: Confirmed - Sweetwater DOES have MF-104Ms for Sale
I called Sweetwater yesterday and ordered one, it should be here by Tuesday. They said that they had 50+ units left, and are expecting more, so I guess Moog must have either found a treasure trove of NOS BBD chips, or decided to use up whatever remained of their repair stock. Hard to say, but in an...

Re: Confirmed - Sweetwater DOES have MF-104Ms for Sale
Mine arrived today. I had always balked at buying one due to the cost; it's a spendy little sucker! However, in doing so I ended up missing out on getting a brand new unit, leaving me to the "tender mercies" of the used market! A few years back I had purchased a used one off of the 'bay th...

My first post in quite a while!
I just ordered an MF-104M from Sweetwater. They're selling them for $679.00 with free shipping, and as of right now they have 57 on-hand, but they're going fast. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MF104M/
Grab one while you can!

Re: Can really an moog modular be cloned today?
Since I was asked, I have to reply with a question: What is the point? Seriously. I think the point would be that one can have the actual, true fidelity sound, coming from a true reproduction of the actual instrument. I think that there's a kind of archeological aspect to this, kind of like being a...

Take a look at "Kicking It Up A Notch", an article I wrote a few years ago that addresses different overdrive techniques on the Voyager. Look in: KnobTweak > Files > Voyager > Kicking It Up A Notch Cheers! - Greg I got locked out of my Yahoo account many moons ago, and I really don't ever...
