Check out the Quicklok QL-642, the dimensions are almost perfect for the LP on top. Even though I only have a P08 on the bottom, I will eventually be upgrading to a monster synth, something like the OB (good combo by the way) It will fit easily. I spent about a year researching and can assure you it...

'at a much more reasonable price, consider the Roland SH 201. This seems to be an excellent introductory synthesizer with the basic functions and at a minimal cost'.

Please don't go down this route!!

Cool, I'm glad you all feel the P08 is the one to keep, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love it. I had taken advise from someone who has had both and he was adamant the Poly was superior and that I should sell my P08 for one. Obviously due to the reactions I have received here, I would be making a ...

[quote="The Analog Organist"]I can't see how a move from a Prophet '08 to a Polyevolver could possibly be considered an upgrade. Eight voices to four? All analog to analog/digital? Certainly, it would be a downgrade.

I have a feeling others may disagree.

Just to let you know, I took the plunge today and ordered my Voyager. Am a bit in shock, as I have only had my LP 10 months and was just growing to really love it. Would like to keep the two, but I promised myself I would only upgrade if I sell my Phatty. Am extremely excited and scared at the same ...

Which combo would you choose?

Over the last 12 months I've managed to aquire a LP (St1) and a Prophet 08, both as new condition and about a 3rd off their original price. Obviously they sound fantastic together, but I am in a position to be able to upgrade one of them. So, do I upgrade my LP to a minimoog voyager and keep the PO8...

Thankyou all for your responses, they have really inspired me. I am now very excited bout my LP and have remebered the original reason I bought it, to understand and play a real synthesizer. I will be spending this weekend making my own sounds. Feels like I'm starting all over again, cheers everyone!!

My Moog knowlege is bretty basic but I have looked at the cp-251. I haven't looked to purchase until I get to grips with the LP 1st.

I suppose ultimately I am after that really cheesy 70s style sci-fi sound, but need to know I can a achieve with a modern synth.

The poly doesn't bother me, as I purchased them both mainly for lead and bass.

What I would like to be able to do is also create my own sound fx, which I seem to be able to create on the Nord easily but not on LP. (may have been easier if i'd mentioned this in the beginning)

Yeh, the Fantom is pure for ready made sounds, my sequencer and sampler. Can't get my head around computers at this time (new to music production) and feel this is my best way of getting started.

Cheers for your quick responses.

Would love to go for a 3 tier stand, but the Fantom will be on a desk and the second synth I will have to adapt my own tier for it to rest above. Believe me, I've tried every situation and this is the only option to me.

please help me, I don't want to sell my Moog!

I have a dilemma. I have a Fantom G6, Nord Lead 1 and a Little Phatty St1, but only have room for 2 synths, and the Fantom has to stay. Now, everyone reading this will probably say with out a doubt the Phatty stays. I too would like to say the same but I have a problem. Every time I tweak the 2, I a...

It's been bugging the hell out of me since purchase (LP-ST1 02446). Maybe I'm just too much of a fussy bugger!
Must admit though, there is still plenty of power in turning the knob!
