Re: Prodigy replacement keys UK

Thanks very much Tony. The MS-20 tip was what I needed. Look like my Prodigy is that type and that's where I messed up the first time! Cheers

Which Moogerfooger to get?

Hi folks,

So I have a Moog little phatty, a Moog prodigy with CV and Filter input, a CP-251 and a microbrute. I was wondering what Moogerfooger would throw into the mix if you could only (Currently) get one of them :)

Cheers

Prodigy replacement keys UK

Hi folks, Does anyone know of a supplier that does Moog Prodigy replacement keys ideally in the UK/Europe. I need an E key... I bought one of a chap that did spares on eBay but it wasn't the same type of key as they are on mine so I'm assuming I have an older or newer version that what they were for...

Re: Little Phatty Tuning problem.

Thanks Randy.

It was because I had not run the pitch wheel calibration it would seem. I noticed the pitch bend wasn't working right and that made me twig. I ran that and now the chap seems to be staying in tune. Phew!

Cheers for your help.

Little Phatty Tuning problem.

Hi folks, Hopefully someone can help me with this one. I have a little phatty and after allowing to warm up. I hook it up to a tuner and the presets are all a full tone sharp. When I flip it into auto tune mode and it's just an raw oscillator sound it's perfectly in tune. Is there something I'm doin...

Progidy Kenton CV kit

Hello Moogsters.. I was wondering if anyone had experience with fitting the Kenton socket upgrade to a pre CV Prodigy. I'm looking to get one but want to make sure I'm up to doing the electronics myself. I'm handy with a soldering iron and have done most of the basic things before in my life like so...

Re: stripping a prodigy.

Ha! Yeah good point. Gorilla glue looks like it would do the trick. My only concern with that is that if I glue the case with something so strong I might never get it apart again should I need to! My Pordigy has a chipped wood corner, which currently I like as it's authentic to it's age, but if I fa...

Re: stripping a prodigy.

Thanks for the tip Kevin!

I think i'll use wood glue on the actual wooden elements of the case. It's where the metal control panelling meets the wood that I think hot glue has been used. I can't think of another way to glue the metal and the wood together?

Re: Modular vs. Semi-Modular

Hey Zenhead, and everyone. Love your setup! I think this is the route I'm going to go down to be honest. I have a Phatty, a Prodigy (soon to be cv'd fitted) and a CP-251. I've got four VCOs with those two synths and then I was thinking Euro Rack modules for more mangling and processing. The Foogers ...

Re: stripping a prodigy.

Thanks for the reply. I'm in the UK and finishing wax was something I had considered. It seems to be the thing that a lot of furniture restorers use and I like the aged look it gives. I don't want the thing to look shiny brand new as it certainly isn't! I just don't want it to look like chipped varn...

Re: stripping a prodigy.

Dragging up a very old thread as I never got around to doing this!

What finish did you add to the Prodigy. Do you think it's best to add a laquer or just going with a wax or something?

Cheers

Re: CP-251 Mixing audio

Ah that's great Greg thanks. The Prodigy could do with a little boost so I will try that trick! The CP has opened up a lot of sonic potential. With the attenuator knobs being a little 'difficult' to set to zero there is always a little LFO modulating things... it really helps bring out the 'analogne...

CP-251 Mixing audio

I've just bought a CP-251 for use with my LP and Prodigy. I just want to run something past everyone to see if I'm doing it right :) I'm currently running the out of the noise on the CP-251 to the four input mixer and then sending the out of that mixer into the audio in on the phatty. This allows me...
